Best value in anchorage. Roomy, clean and normal! Hostels can be a mixed bag depending on the host and the condition...this one gets an a plus on both.
I've stayed at the Arctic Adventure hostel several times and I'm definitely a fan - it's my go-to first choice when in Anchorage.
First and foremost....they don't smell. Seriously, that's one of the biggest downsides of hostels (or at least all the places I've stayed to date): the bathrooms always have this unwashed funk, even if they're clean. Arctic Adventure...

The Arctic Adventure Hostel is a very well run place. Joseph and Tiffany who run this place work their socks off keeping at clean and tidy, even providing a cooked breakfast!!! What hostel does that!
Rooms are spotless, beds are clean with nice sheets not to mention a flat scree TV! All for $55 a room!
Bathrooms are equally as...

We stayed there just one night. The price is good but the room isn't very clean. And the wall is very thin so It's so noisy in the morning (from 5am) that we couldn't sleep anymore.
We wanted an affordable room for our last two nights in Anchorage and the Arctic Adventure Hostel was perfect. Double bed in a private room for $50 a night and a clean bathroom and kitchen. It is in a quiet, nice part of town with a friendly staff. Also, there is a convenience Store and REI, bookstore, etc within walking...

A clean and welcoming place, with a nice lounge and free internet, with towels provided. I've never heard of a hostel providing a double bed and big TV for us! Tiffany worked hard to make us welcome - one of the most helpful we've met. Despite the website not mentioning it, each morning she cooked a great breakfast, and still...

We were there for one night in a private room as we zipped though Alaska for a week. In one night we were left with an awesome impression. The place is very clean and the caretaker works very hard keeping it that way. I have never had it before, but the breakfast in the morning in a hostel is a...
