Great place to stay when traveling though Anchorage. Rooms are clean, comfortable and affordable. We use this hotel every time we are in Anchorage. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Plus an added bonus is its close proximity to both the international airport and the seaplane base. They offer free shuttles to both.

This was recommended in Frommers but I don't have any idea why! The rooms were dirty, the door and window locks were broken. The whole place was musty smelling. Would not return. The staff were all very nice.

The room we stayed in was nothing exceptional - pretty basic. But it was clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. We stayed two nights - the first night in Alaska and the last night. Would recommend this motel. Candy was particularly friendly and helpful.

I have stayed here twice before, in 2001 and 2003. This time I was not impressed with the attitude of the employees, not very friendly or helpful.

I noticed that the manager of the place held contempt for her employees as well as the native population. I over heard on many occassions her refer to the Alaskan natives as a drain on society.
