My husband and I traveled there last June (2011), so this is a review long time coming! We visited in transit during a move to Korea so we had a lot of stuff. When we called Rita didn't have any rooms avaliable, but she had an apartment downstairs that was open. We were traveling with cats and this didnt seem... More

I stayed for 2 nights at this B&B and enjoyed my stay overall. The rooms were clean and well decorated and the price was very reasonable. The house itself has lots of antiques and beautiful living/dining room area where one can spend lots of time. Rita, the host at the B&B, had hearty breakfasts every morning that kept me going... My husband and I just recently stayed here in the Garden Terrace suite. It was wonderful! The bed was so comfortable, and the jacuzzi tub felt heavenly! Rita was a great hostess, and made huge, delicious breakfasts every morning. She also gave us a lot of "insider" tips on the area (places to go, things to do, restaurants, etc). Rita's... More

My best pal and I had the pleasure of spending our Christmas holidays at the Alaskan Frontier B & B. Rita (our host) was extremely accommodating from the minute we arrived. My pal and I stayed in the luxurious Ivory Suite, and what a room--- the sauna/jacuzzi along with an incredibly comfortable bed had us struggling to awake for breakfast... More

Actually stayed at this lovely B&B with my then 91 year old mother for a week in May 2010, just before summer rates went into effect. Spent a couple of nights in the Fireweed Room and then moved downstairs to the Garden Terrace Room when it became available. Both rooms were well-appointed, spacious, and comfortable, but we fell in love... More

Rita was an amazing host and made our first trip to Alaska a very pleasant experience. We stayed in the Butterfly room the first night and then moved to the Garden Terrace suite for the next two nights. Both rooms were very comfortable but the suite was AMAZING. Huge bathroom and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.... More

After being greeted by two very lovable and well-mannered dogs, my husband and I stayed in the Ivory Suite for three nights between Christmas and New Year's. The hillside setting was an absolutely beautiful winter wonderland. Our room was beautiful as well and very comfortable (although it took us quite a while to figure out where the electrical outlets were.... More

Stayed here twice and loved it each time. The main areas are like being in someone's personal museums. The house is beautiful, the rooms comfortable, very private and quiet. Breakfast is large, with several delicious selections each day. Rita is a fantastic hostess with great stories of Alaska and really helpful ideas on where to go/what to see. I'd return... More

Staying at Rita's B&B made my stay in Anchorage extra special. It was my first trip to Alaska and having someone I could talk to about the area helped me make better decisions on where to go and what to do much easier. This location is very close to two trail heads; one going to Flattop and one going to... More
