I have stayed here many times in the past (approx 30 times). Try to get a room facing Cook Inlet and as high as possible. View is to die for....and the late sunset is fabulous. The hotel is refining their common space in both the upper floor concierge and on the main floor. Very well done, Marriott. Bedding is terrific.

In the summer this is cruise ship port of call. For business travellers the exe lounge is good and the staff there is excellent. Food is OK but nothing exceptional and they charge for any alcoholic drink. Parking is very expensive. Finally, after staying here quite a few times Marriott Anchorage has finally been updated. My room was fresh and clean, the caret in the corridors no longer threadbare and even the elevators were updated.
