We stayed at the Inn for five days, even upgraded to the suite...it was wonderful. Everything about our stay was the room, the food and our hostess...........we will return again next year...thanks Kathy.. Jeff and Denise Lockport NY

We chose Salisbury House primarily for its Capitol Hill location and were so delighted to find it a welcoming home to come back to after long travel days. The home itself is beautifully maintained and the public rooms are very spacious. We traveled with another couple so we particularly enjoyed the living room and library as a place to relax...

We stayed at three B&B's during our recent trip to Washington State. The Salisbury house was, by far, the best of the three.
The room was very spacious and nicely decorated. The Inn is beautiful and in a nice section of the Capitol Hill neighborhood. There are lots of restaurants/bars/coffee shops within walking distance. It was also nice to stay...

Beautiful house, perfect location, delicious breakfasts, clean and spacious rooms. Innkeeper was very welcoming and provided loads of wonderful recommendations of things to do. My only suggestion is to offer couples the option to dine privately (outside their rooms) rather than limit options to communal or in-room dining only.
While planning a visit with my daughter in Olympia we decided to spend the night in Seattle on the day I arrived and do some shopping there before driving to Chahalis and Olympia to see other family members. A mommy and me day before the craziness started. We chose to stay at the Salisbury House because of the charming description...

We pretended that Salisbury House was our home. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing; the breakfasts were a treat. We're still talking about the oatmeal pancakes. Our room was small and lacked storage for a week's vacation, but we made it work. We would stay there again for sure but request a larger room.
The room was attractive and comfortably furnished. Breakfast was delicious. The inn keeper had good suggestions and information. Neighborhood is full of beautiful old homes. The B&B is walking distance from restaurants and a bus line that goes downtown frequently.
We had a wonderful time at Salisbury House. Merely looking out the window at the beautiful garden was enough to keep us smiling. The home is pristine, with thoughtful touches like cold lemonade left in the parlor on a hot summer afternoon and a portable fan to keep the room well ventilated at night. Delicious and hearty breakfasts were cream...

We stayed at Salisbury House for two nights in July, 2009. I would sum up our stay by saying "it was ok". I didn't find the hostess to be particularly attentive until she was ready for us to pay our bill. The binder left in our room of ideas of things to do and places to eat was not up...

This review seems a little unfair, I wonder why this guest waited a year to post it? My mother had a massive stroke last summer and passed away in the fall. I'm sorry if my attention was occasionally distracted from my guests. It seemed inappropriate to share this information will most of our guests.
The information packets in the guest...

Salisbury House is in a beautiful neighbourhood on Capitol Hill, only 20 mins by trolley bus to downtown. The house is immaculate, very elegant with a real warmth. The library on the ground floor is a real feature - with fire, daily newspapaers, computer and endless guide books on the area. We stayed in the Blue Room, while not a...
