Villa Blanca was our first stop on our recent return trip to Costa Rica. The grounds are beautiful. Tranquil, and quiet, with rolling hills and cow pastures in the background. We saw numerous humming birds on the property, as well as a coatumundi roaming the grounds. The chapel on the grounds is charming and romantic, especially with the history surrounding... More

The complete silence was the first thing that really struck me as we turned off the car. The clouds surrounded the main villa, and there was NO ambient sound - no traffic, no technology hum, no nothing. Of course, we soon realized that the quiet allowed us to hear a huge array of birds, frogs, insects... terrific. And that's what... More

We experienced Villa Blanca for the first time for a one night visit two weeks ago. Having stayed at Si Como No (same ownership) we were expecting world class service and were not disappointed. Enrique at the hotel restaurant was terrific with his suggestions for dinner and was so accommodating and made us feel special as we were on our... More

Well off the beaten path, but worth the trip getting there! Villa Blanca wasn't in our GPS, but we had seen signs along the road when traveling up to the Arenal area. It would be helpful if the signs pointed better where you should go, but we ended up there in the end. If you're traveling from San Ramon up,... More

This was quite a unique experience. It was a bumpy ride to get there, but we felt rested and adventurous once we settled into our comfortable casita. This was our introduction to Costa Rica; the first hotel we stayed at and one of three in total that had no tv or other distractions. I greatly appreciated that our attention was... More

We stayed two nights at Villa Blanca and could not have had a better trip. We did 2 tours and the guides were fantastic. Accomdations, food, and service was great. The only drawback of the hotel is that it is a bit isolated. We would love to go back!

I think Villa Blance came at just the right time in our 2 week vacation. We had been the Arenal Volcano area and did so many activities we needed some rest and relaxation to refuel for the next trip to the Manuel Antonio beach area. We loved the casita. We had the Honeymoon Casita and the quiet surroundings were much... More

My family spent two nights at the Villa Blanca (March 31-April 2 2012) and we had a blast. We have two boys ages 11 and 14 and, despite their fears that there wouldn't be anything to do, they found that two days wasn't enough to enjoy all the things the Villa has to offer (though I'd say that you can... We stayed here 3 nights as part of a tour group which took over the entire place. We were randomly allocated casitas so some were larger than others and with different bathroom facililtes but ours was perfectly satisfactory although the wardrobe being in the bathroom was a little odd and drawer space would have been handy. Meals were taken in... More

We stayed at Villa Blanca for the first night of a weeklong trip. After a drive through some cloudy winding roads (but exciting!), we arrived at a beautiful hotel and were greeted by a friendly receptionist. The hotel rooms are small bungalows throughout the hotel's grounds. The rooms are simple and rustic, which adds to the charm of the resort.... More
