I took my parents to Kayakers Cove for an overnight stay in August. The owner, Greg, saw to our every need. I would suggest renting kayaks through this facility. The equipment is in great shape and the price is right at around $30 per day. Bring wood and a lantern. The kitchen has almost everything you need. I would definitely... More

While we didn't sleep at Kayaker's Cove, we dropped anchor from our sailing yacht in the cove. We paddled over and the people staying and working there were very welcoming. They fired up the wood burning sauna, the only way to warm up after being chilled to the bone and we ate dinner and sat around their campfire before paddling... More

I stayed here 3 nights, and it was a highlight of my Alaska trip. Beautiful location, very helpful staff, great kayaking, comfortable accommodations. There's no electricity, but there's a warm stove in the main cabin. Bring some wood when you come out. Bring all your food, and plenty of charged batteries for cameras. No showers, but you can get the... More

I've been to Kayaker's Cove multiple times now. Every time it has been wonderful. It is such a unique and beautiful place. It's rustic, but comfortable. This is my favorite spot in Alaska.

A highlight of our time in Alaska. A full on rustic wilderness experience with a cabin with a warm fire- ideal. Well equipped communal kitchens etc. We stayed in a cabin which we loved. Was rainy but had two beautiful paddles- one to jumpy cove- saw a bear catch a salmon, an one to fox island, puffin rookery and saw... More

We stayed at Kayakers cove for 3 days 2 nights and it was one of the most memorable stay of our time in Alaska. The owners and caretakers dont make you feel as if they are running a business, it has a very family atmosphere. Very basic and Rusty, no electricity, no proper bathrooms, but you feel soo much closer... More

This place was a great find. Our group of four stayed in a cabin with a double bed and sleeping loft. Going kayaking is as simple as asking the (immensely helpful and welcoming) caretaker for equipment and setting off from the cove and along the shore in either direction, or across to Fox Island, with a good chance of seeing... The previous reviewer is correct: this place is awesome. I'd also second their advice about avoiding Miller's Landing's Water taxi (while we were there they were over three hours late picking up another guest). We used Louis's taxi and he was super-nice and reliable. Heads up if you're traveling with little kids that there tall decks (and lofts) with minimal... More

If you are in Seward and looking for great places to paddle, Kayaker's Cove is the place the go. The place is very rustic and charming. No showers, outhouses but running cold water in the main cottage. You have the option to sleep in a dorm or have the luck to have your own cabin ($60). Great pricing on kayaks... More
