Reviews here are accurate concerning dated units, vacationing next to residential units with their family dramas, extra charge for air-conditioning, expensive menus at pool and pitches for timeshare sales. Also true are the reviews for the cool pool with ocean view and being a comfortable distance from Kona. We experienced something extra we are sharing with you as a warning... More

We stayed here for one week and had an excellent experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I can't think of one bad thing to say about the room or the experience. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Kailua Kona. Very quiet and close to town without being to close.

The Kona Coast Resort is getting on in years, however, the ocean views, the beautiful sunsets, its proximity to a shopping center and restaurants more than make up for it. Our two bedroom unit is well appointed. Spacious, tastefully furnished and with a fully equipped kitchen. Last night we grilled steaks on a gas grill located steps away from our... More

We stayed at Kona Coast Resort May 4 -12, 2013. This was our second visit Kailua and the resort. We had a 2 bedroom unit building 3 unit 103. This unit has been partially refurbished with just the kitchen counters and cabinets still being the original. New stainless still appliances in the kitchen and new composite counter tops in the... We stayed at the Kona Coast Resort May 5-8, 2013 as the second part of our Hawaii vacation, using up our Shell Vacations Explorer points. The resort is surrounded by golf courses on the north, south and west sides. A busy two lane road, The Alii drive, runs east of the resort, and goes 6 miles north into the heart... More

The Kona Coast Resort was the perfect place for our family reunion! The people who work there were professional and very nice to us. It was a quiet place to just hang out and the sunsets were amazing! Our family especially like that the pool and hot tubs didn't close until 11pm.

Super spacious 2 bedroom condo with more storage than I needed! Never knew that was even possible. 2 pools, 3 hot tubs, playground, kiddie pool, restaurant on site, and equipment rental too. Free Wi-Fi (that disconnected frequently). Aloha Friday's restaurant- eh- fine at best. Poor service from the male staff Christina was great. Excellent staff from check in, housekeeping to... More

This was a last minute life saver! After a vacation rental went south we booked this resort and were so glad we did. Beautiful property! Everyone was friendly and helpful. The suite was clean and comfortable. One bedroom condo with two bathrooms and full kitchen. We stayed 9 days and will return to this property when visiting the big Island.
