We stayed here with large group of friends for one week. The hotel is 3 star, but a good 3 star... a short walk from the centre of town, close to all the main lifts etc. The rooms are basic but clean with plenty of hot water. The evening meal was generally tasty with good portions. Breakfast was also good... More

Stayed at the Hotel Karlshof for the second year with three good friends. As many have said on Trip Advisor before, this isn't the hotel for people wanting 5-star facilities; it is however the perfect hotel for people wanting unparalleled service - every one of the staff at the Karlshof are polite, cheerful and willing to go the extra mile... If you are after somewhere thats within walking distance to the lifts and bars but dont want to fork out stupid money (leave that to the Germans), then for Saalbach this hotel is probably the best option. For roughly £50 pppn you get a basic (but clean) ensuite room, good food and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The down sides... More

We had a very nice vacation on this hotel. The staff was great and freindly, the food was good and plenty. The hotel was very good to adapt the menu, if you have an allegic in the family. The skiing is simply great.

Not going to bore you with a long wordy review. You can spend far more than it cost to stay at this hotel and not get anywhere near the high standards presented here. The team running it are nothing short of excellent, they are more than helpful and interested in YOU having the best possible stay. They are all well... More

8 friends for a last minute long weekend ski break and selectskichalets with Hotel Karlshof hit the spot. Great people at the hotel made it all work and the location a few hundred yards from the town centre and bubble up the mountain is great. Ok, the hotel is a little dated and the rooms are a little quirky, but... More

friendly, cosy and relaxed sum up my staty at this hotel. Standard of accomodation were not exactly the Ritz but the level of service and friendly atmosphere certainly made up for it! Well done to the team and a special mention to the wonderful couple managing the hotel, Flo and Alex!

Great ski hotel, just on the edge of the village, meaning a walk to everything. The breakfast and dinner are good and the bar and lobby are adequate. The rooms are basic, but the shower is and and the beds are warm, exactly what you want. The best part of this hotel is the friendly staff. They go the extra... More
