We stayed here one night in order to explore Flores, before our morning flight to Belize. We had a great view of the lake from our room and porch. The front desk staff were very helpful, and of course being on Flores it was close to all of the restaurants and shops there.

The hotel is OK, Flores is nothing to write home about. But, they do seem to be gearing up for tourists, new sidewalks, etc. We did have an excellent meal next door, grilled camarones that were wonderful.

This was my second trip to the Peten region of Guatemala, and the second time for me to stay at the Hotel Santana. The staff has little to no functional English skills, but are still very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant also serves a decent breakfast, although next door at the Hotel Peten, the breakfast is better (especially the plantanos).... More
