The Royal Sonesta is my favorite hotel. Beautiful, fun pool right on bourbon street. (Great oasis in hot afternoons with fun people.) Accomodations with motion detector floor lights - no more stubbed toes. Best rooms open to pool deck. Order room service lunch and eat pool side. Wonderful jazz entertainment at night. You can enjoy bourbon street at night and... More

We stayed one night in the Royal Sonesta. The property is very pretty, and the rooms are nicely appointed and well air conditioned. Staff were very responsive and professional. The only downside is the Bourbon Street location, which is nowhere near as nice as the hotel. It is easy to walk out of that neighborhood and into better spots. Parking... More

Beautiful hotel and you will not be disappointed in selecting it. It is hard to pick a hotel here in NOLA as the nicer ones all seem about the same on the net and there isn't a hotel whose web presence makes it stand out. The grounds of the hotel are convenient right on Bourbon St. The 3rd floor pool... More

The hotel and the door staff were great. Location is so so. The French Quarter is ok for 2 or 3 days. Anything more than that is torture. Unless your a 21 or 22 year old kid. Very smelly and dirty area. I've been but would never go back.

This was our fifth trip to New Orleans in as many years. This was the first time we stayed at a "4 star". We were disappointed with a few things in particular. The first was the quality of the food from room service. We ordered food to our room on 2 different occasions (the second, hoping our first experience was... More

We (two couples) came to the hotel past midnight and were told right away that they don't have our rooms and will walk us to a different hotel for one night. Sure thing like this happen but what differentiate good hotels from bad is how they handle the situation. The front desk lady waw giving us attitude and was actually... More

This hotel is just an average 3 star hotel on all levels. My biggest complaint is that they serve powdered scrambled eggs in their R Club Level breakfast buffet AND room service. The room service food also suffered in the area of meats and breads. The ham was sandwich meat and really hard, very similar to shoe leather and the... More

Fabulous hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. Upon entering the lobby one is immediately struck by the beauty and elegance. There's also a beautiful courtyard just outside the lobby. We had a king "balcony" room facing the pool area. The "balcony" is more of an outdoor walkway. There aren't any tables or chairs. (no room for them regardless).... More

We had an outstanding experience at the Royal Sonesta in the French Quarter in New Orleans, LA. This regal hotel is well maintained, as was our room. If possible, staying on the R or Club floor, away from the noise of Bourbon Street, affords a wonderful night sleep. A balcony only adds to the attraction, as well as a fine... More
