We stayed at Melrose Mansion the second week of Jazz Fest 2012 for 5 nights. We were in the Marigny Room and it was lovely, second floor, decorated in black and white with a huge dresser and bedside tables with more drawers, a wardrobe with plenty of hangers, ironing board and safe, and large flat screen tv. The bathroom was... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our visit! We were in the Donecia room and loved having coffee or afternoon wine on our private balcony. The coffee and pasteries were perfect in the morning...just enough to get one started. And, I really appreciated the wine and cheese in the afternoon. Our room was large, beautifully decorated and comfortable. What we... More

This "hotel" is more like a bed and breakfast. It is really amazing! It is in a great location (a 3 minute walk to Bourbon St) and is absolutely gorgeous! Apparently they just remodeled it within the last year and I was very impressed! We stayed in two rooms - the Donecia Suite and the Prince Edward Suite. Both of... More

This place is a gem! It's not buried in the center of the French Qtr within a short walk to To all the eats & drinks a person needs. Hotel is perfect & spotless! They offer coffee & Danish / muffins every morning & no problem finding a place to relax around the pool. I will book this joint on... More

Melrose Mansion was a treat to stay in on March 15, 2012. I hadn’t read any TripAdvisor reviews, and honestly I’m glad I didn’t. I scheduled Melrose Mansion several months in advance for one night during Spring Break as a romantic night with my boyfriend. I called to make the reservation rather than using a website, just to make sure... More

Wow-- what a beautiful restored property with all the NOLA charm you're looking for. We had 4 nights in a junior suite on the main floor + it was so lovely. Tucked back in the back we enjoyed some seclusion without feeling as if we'd left the culture + easy vibe of New Orleans. A small property, this isn't a... More

Beautifully restored historic mansion two blocks from Bourbon Street on the edge of the French Quarter. New decor was contemporary compared to the "time period", but it works and is very comfortable. Staff was good and very accommodating. Location is ideal - 5 minute walk to the heart of the French Quarter, BUT none of the traffic or noise from... More

I recently stayed here for a mini vacation to New Orleans, and I was quite scared of what to expect of the reviews. Read bad & good... well here is the truth... 5 star service, clean, amazing, and the staff is amazing! While the hotel could upgrade mattresses, I had an amazing time. We had a master suite in the... The staff was helpful with everything we asked for. The rooms were nice. Our Junior Suite had a jacuzzi tub and a spacious shower. They have a wine and cheese hour starting at 6:00 every evening. Nice. Although the have no parking we parked on the street right beside the Hotel for free with no problems. I had this trip... More
