Located in the very nice Garden District of NOLA, the Prytania Oaks belongs to the Prytania Park Hotel diagonally across the street. When checking in you need to first drive to this hotel, not to the Oaks. The Prytania Oaks is a newly renovated historic building, the rooms could be called almost “boutique chic”, and they are very nicely furnished,... More

We enjoyed our stay at Prytannia Oaks and agree we'd stay there again if we go back to New Orleans. But there are a few things we found a bit quirky. The hotel is in the middle of a mixed residential/commercial area one block off St Charles. When you arrive, there is nothing to indicate you've arrived at Prytannia Oaks,... More

Dear Guest, First of all, Thank you for taking time out to write a review. We appreciate it a great deal. But I would like to clarify a few points: 1. All reservations, no matter where or how booked (direct with us, our website, or any number of 3rd party agents) state that Registration and Check In is at our... More

I loved this hotel. It was everything I was looking for, quaint, comfortable and with bags of character. The room was beautiful with a huge bathroom and awesome shower ( Now there is a word I don't use very often!) It was powerful and hot enough to boil lobster. Perfect!! Everything was spotlessly clean. Achingly stylish!! The air conditioner worked... More

Dear Guest, THANK YOU for your review. I appreciate all your comments and noted the TV placement issue. We have addressed this but not having much success in getting the cable lines moved inside the walls of the house to other locations inside the rooms. When we did the renovation, the specs were for the TV's to be wall hung... More

Stay there for the first weekend of jazz fest staff was overall pleasant. Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. Would definitely stay there again.

I was in New orleans in ealry November 2011 and I loved this little hotel. It is in a residential part of Lower Garden District almost halfway between the French Quarter and the epicenter of Magazine street. The area is great with not much sign of new builts, filled with beautiful wooden southern houses, with just a touch of New... More

Thank you for your wonderful review of our little hotel. I certainly appreciate you taking the time to write about your experience. However, I must make 2 corrections for the readers, 1. we do not now, nor ever have had Mosquito nets on the beds, or even on the property. There is no need for them as the windows are... More

I love so many things about this hotel. Firstly, the location is within easy walking distance of several nice restaurants and a streetcar stop. It seemed safe when I visited, I didn't see any sketchy characters around although one would want to take the typical precautions for visiting an urban area. The room was slightly smallish but very comfortable. I... More

We stayed at the Prytania Oaks the weekend of the French Quarter fest. We didn't want to stay in the French Quarter since it would be too loud and crowded. When I called to book out room Dori the GM was very nice and helpful with the availabilities. We originally booked a king room in the Queen Anne. Unfortunatly an... More

We just go back from a 2 night stay at the Prytania Oaks. I loved this boutique hotel. The location in the garden district was just what we wanted. About a block from a streetcar stop, so going into the French Quarter or the upper Garden district was easy. We did not move our car until we left. The room... More

We were looking for a not too expensive hotel for a 2 night stay in NOLA over Easter weekend. Found this one on hotels.com. Took a chance. Our small room was lovely. Shower was great. 4 poster bed was fine. Soft sheets and comforter. Lots of channels on flat screen tv but who cares. Quiet. Very quiet. In a nice... More

We stayed here for three nights over St Patricks day weekend. The Oaks is an easy half block walk from the office at the Park hotel. We were able to check in early and get a start on our sightseeing. We took the St Charles streetcar, which is a block away, down to the French quarter. The streetcar is cheap... More
