Super close to the great haunts of Frenchmen, but a little too far for most everything else. Even Frenchmen is a bit of a hike. Super close to Schiro's and Mimi's, long walk or cab to French Quarter.

My husband & I found a coupon in a magazine at a mc donalds on the way to New Orleans. It was such a great place. Safe parking area a quick little walk to the nightlife. But far enough away to be quiet too. I love how eclectic it was. The bed was so comfy too. I was so pleased...

Found the Olde Town Inn after searching high and low for availability during French Quarter Fest. I love the area of Marigny/Bywater. I was told that Frenchmen Street is how Bourbon St was 10 years ago. Filled with locals and a 5 minute walk from the Olde Towne Inn.
We stayed in the Shotgun Suite which is at the front...

i've never felt compelled to write a hotel revciew until I stayed here. We stayed in rooms #19 & #20. they were DISGUSTING! The minute we opened the door to the room, it was evident that the maids has heavily sprayed in an attempt to cover up an odor. After airing out the room and looking down at the dark...

Now if you're looking for a big chain place to stay this isn't it. Very warm and friendly. We walked to the French...

If you want a pristine room, you should probably look further. But if you know & love New Orleans, this could be a favorite spot. We visit mostly in fall, so can't say anything about A/C or heat. And we love the Marigny/Bywater area where it's located. We don't rate New Orleans hotels on food--we lived there & know too...

Although the car park was free & cost was cheap the feeling of being unsafe & insecure was not worth it.
A very dodgy area - felt on edge whole stay - couldnt wait to leave!
Rubbish breakfast - better to miss it! Paper thin stale bagels.
Had a terrible nights attempt at sleep due to a barking dog next...

This was my family's first trip together to New Orleans. Staying at the Olde Town Inn was a great way to make our trip the best. The room was cute and quaint. It had everything that you needed in the room. My favorite part of the whole thing was breakfast out on the patio. Even though we were there durring...
