The Arbor House is an incredibly special place. The hosts are gracious, kind, and hospitable, but don't hover -- you can savor your morning coffee and afternoon wine in as much peace and quiet as you'd like. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the amenities fabulous, and the location perfect for negotiating Madison. I cannot recommend the place highly enough.

My husband and I needed a quick getaway for the weekend. Arbor house was the natural choice. Located across the street from the arboretum, it provided a great area for walking and biking. The Studio room is our favorite with great views of the courtyard and arboretum. Quiet and relaxing with good food, we will be back.

What a pleasant surprise. My wife and I got a gift certificate from a relative. We usually stay in hotels, but this was an education. "Environmental inn" sounds spartan. From the minute we arrived I was thrilled to be ther. Everyone was so nice. We chatted with other guests sipping gorgeous complimentary wine and sampling some amazing treats. Our room was huge with a Bice view, a fireplace and a romantic tub for two. Cannot wait to go back. I've found my new Madison home.

I stayed here on business in spring of 2011. I was welcomed by wonderful people into a comfortable room. They include breakfast and happy hour. They make there own custom creations - I had a wonderful sit-down breakfast. For happy hour they served margaritas made from fresh squeezed limes! Wow!
