Needed a clean stay with a pool for two nights vacation at Mesa Verde/4 Corners and missed the mark with this hotel. Staff was friendly but that was it. The pool looked like a swamp when we arrived and was being drained. We were informed it would be ready next week - it would be nice if seasonal pools were... More

Good employees make the experience. Check in was nice and quick. The room was the best we have stayed in. Change nothing.

We stayed for one night after a long day's drive, weren't looking for luxury, just a nice place to sleep. The room was old and tired, and smelled like chemicals. The bed was hard as a rock, with thin old polyester sheets, we could hear the neighbors talking half the night and the bathroom was FILTHY! Looked like a year's... More

Stayed here for one night on our way through and so that we could explore Mesa Verde. This hotel is just as you get into Cortez, the rooms are a good size and comfortable. The breakfast is OK, enough to get you going, cereal, baguels etc etc. All in all, good nothing wrong.

We stayed here one night on our way to Mesa Verde with our two kids. I read reviews before coming so my expectations were already low. The room was big enough but it was old, it smelled like the kind of cleaning chemicals you buy at the dollar store I am not exaggerating I think its called ariel or something... More

We did not expect anything fance, but as we had seen several Econolodge motels we figured it would be ok. The price was average, but the room was dirty, old, absolutely NOT sound proof and not even shook proof. We had a room at the 1st floor. The people in the room next to ours was a couple with 4 kids,... More

We stayed here on the return end of our trip in the area as our previous hotel was full. This is definitely a budget motel. We checked in early & the first room they gave us, the door was standing open as the cleaning crew had yet to vacuum it. They easily gave us another room, which had been completely... More

We pulled into Cortez, around 11:15 on a Friday, no reservation. The hotel had ample parking. All the other hotels barely had a drive big enough for me to squeeze in a PT Cruiser. Most other hotels we saw looked full, but extremely loud, due to there parking layout. We did hear street noise, probably due to single pane windows.... More

The Econolodge in Cortez was not a planned stop. We had car trouble and had to spend Saturday and Sunday night here so that a mechanic could look at the car on Monday. Everything in Cortez comes to a dead stop on sundays. The Econo lodge was within walking distance of the auto shop and we didn't have time to... More

On a recent visit to the Econo Lodge in Cortez, CO, I found the assigned room to be reasonably clean but dated in its decor and TV. In comparison to other hotels in this price range it was lacking in bed comfort, nice pillows and linens. In this respect, I think it was overpriced. The breakfast served at this motel... More
