The room was old, worn and barely clean. Staff wasn't very friendly and not helpful at all. They would have served breakfast, but no one told us. Just noticed it when checking out. At least they got free wifi. The price was too high for what you get.

We stayed at the Mesa Verde for one night, as part of a driving tour booked through an agent. The Mesa Verde is on the South Western side of Cortez & away from the main drag of shops / restaurants / other hotels. On reading some of the reviews, I was tempted to not even check in, simply go to... More

I asked a friend who is from the area where she'd recommend I stay and this is where she sent us. And she really is a friend, but the place has changed a lot since her memory. It's quite old and hasn't been updated at all. The hot tub is very spacious, but dirty. Oh, is it dirty! Yuck. The... More

A budget place, looks it, and is. Inexpensive by current standards but my wife wasn't happy at all. It does look drab on the outside, and isn't much better inside. The pictures and Frommer are inaccurate as it's much worse than depicted. The swimming pool was closed for the season and had some tiles missing around the edge. All that said,... More

Don't be fooled by website as we were! If price is all you are concerned about, this may be ok. Rundown and dirty. Thought about trying the hot tub until we saw dirty flotsam on top of water. "Breakfast" is a joke. Toast, bagels, Eggos and two cereals, orange "drink" in a rundown convention room. We were booked for two... More

This is a very large motel but older. No real problems. Rate was $78.44 which I thought was a bit high. Would have been a better stay if rate was in the mid $60s. They are set up for a continental breakfast but I didn't see one. The lobby is only open from 0730 to 2330.

We stayed here on night on a road trip – on which we had stayed in a lot of motels within the same price range. The motel isn’t the nicest looking from the outside – but not one to judge by appearances withheld judgement until getting inside. The room was perfectly clean and spacious, if a little dated. A ok... More

as many of the other reviewers mentioned, this hotel is very close to the mesa verde national park and not too far away from four corners and hovenweep national monuments. nevertheless, i would avoid this hotel (and cortez, if at all possible) like the plague... ironic, because when i woke up the next morning i had a horrible, plague-like rash... WE drove up to this motel and immediately didn't feel comfortable, we were the only car in the car park and the swimming pool was full of rubbish, however, we had already paid for the nights stay so checked in and went to our room. I immediately opened the window because of the smell and we stayed in the room... More

So my husband and I booked a room here based on some of the reviews and the fact that it is under the B&B/Inn section...oh however when we got there we noticed that the only car in the lot belonged to the manager. There was also a sign on the side that said welcome bikers! The place looked like something... More
