We stayed here for two nights in a downstairs room in the section closest to the beach. The bedroom was reasonably spacious and comfortable. It included a flat screen tv and DVD player. The bathroom needed attention: the toilet lid wouldn't stay upright, the water in the shower was lukewarm at best & the water didn't drain very well in... More

Just returned from the Maharta. We had six nights which we really enjoyed. As previous reviews stated the hotel is a little tired but still has the Bali charm. We stayed for two nights in a superior room which was very basic (Clean and acceptable for the cost), We moved to a deluxe room which had a better bathroom and... More

We booked this hotel at the last minute for one night. If we liked it, we would extend for three more days. Imagine our disappointment, after paying $100 a night to walk into a room that has no decor, patched walls and a rotting bathroom door. The outdoor sitting area looked into a security shed. Yes the bed was comfortable... More

We stayed 9 nights in a deluxe room & loved every minute. We prefer the more traditional hotels so the fact it is getting a little old only adds to its charm & character. Bali needs to retain these beautiful charming hotels rather than knocking them down & building chrome, marble & granite!! Our room was perfect (fantastic bathroom) &... More

Great access to the beach and the restaurant was very good too. Staff awesome as always in Bali we just felt that it could do with a bit of a touch up but we had a great stay here.

Just returned from a two week - first stay- at the Maharta. I cannot speak highly enough of the friendly ambiance of the hotel - which definitely lacks in the larger properties. The gardens are relaxing and the pool, although not large, pristine, and very often (due to this being a smaller property), was like you have your own private... More

Maharta hotel is in a perfect location, opposite beach walking distance to restaurants and markets. The restaurant attached (mozzerella) is awesome and serves beautiful breakfast, lunches and dinner. Staff at the Maharta a very friendly and attentive. We upgraded to the deluxe rooms on arrival and couldnt be happier. The room we were originally allocated was fine (room 114 for... More
