The Melasti Beach is located in the centre of Legian with all the shops and traders just outside of the main gate. It also fronts onto Legian Beach with surf schools, more traders, food stalls and beach bars. There are two well maintained pools, both with swim-up bars and the grounds, although small by Bali standards, are reasonably maintained. I... More

Stayed at the melasti in may 2012 with wife and daughter in a cottage suite. We had to move 3 times in 2 days because of aircon and plumbing issues but once that was sorted all good. Rooms are big and clean. Location great, walking distance to beach and best local restaurants. The gardens are well maintained and the kids... More

We last stayed here in 2010 and after reading previous reviews by others I was a little concerned. This time around we were taking 4 other Bali virgins and I wanted to make sure they enjoyed their stay. Yes, it is definately getting a little run down and the buildings could do with a blast from a gerni high pressure... More

As we stayed at MBR our party of 6 thought we would try the restaurant on evening when we were too tired to look elsewhere. Bad move. Our waiter did not understand englist very well so we tried to make our order as simple as possible. Problem was some wanted to change the veges to fries and omit mushroom sauce.... More

If you are going to the street bar for a pleasant comfortable drink, you have to take your own cushion. The chairs and the bar stools are as old as the building they are in and It feels like you are sitting on a ring of steel. Stayed there a few times in the early 2000's up until 2005. We... More

All though it was clean it is very tired looking. It could do with a coat of paint and some updating of services. Starting with our door hard to open, and the toilet seat falling off every day, we could not get them to fix either as a perminent solution. The breakfast were good most days, but basic others. The... More
