Ayana's was one of the highlights of my trip to Southern India. The rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were cozy. The food was incredible- bring a big appetite and you will not be disappointed! The staff was very attentive and Venugopal, the owner, went above and beyond to teach us about the area. He even invited us... More

This homestay is beautiful! The family is so nice and the food is great. We had a lovely tea and the afternoon followed by a lovely long walk along the water before dinner. The place has wifi and purified water (major plus!). The head of household even offered to take us for yoga and to a temple in the morning!... More

Kerala back waters is a beautiful destination. I had the joy of having one night Homestay. Host Gopal is friendly and gracious, and always has a smile on his face. The stay was comfortable and the food amazing. Gorgeous views, great company, highly recommended!

Kerala Backwaters was a magical place. We visited and had an overnight home stay with Mr Nair. We were actually 'subbed out' to a lovely family across the river. Although we enjoyed our trip here with Intrepid, I would urge them to change the host for the home stay; there must be lots of other people able to offer a... More

The place is simply a dream for those who like some days of calm in a wonderful silent familiar surrounding. Gopal knwos the village's history and lot about nature by hart and is a communicative person to talk to. His wife, Padma, is an excellent cook and a warm harted women - like a mother. Their house lies directly at... More

Gopal and Padma were the most gracious of hosts. Both houses have uninterrupted views of the waterway and lots of great spots to sit back, read, sleep, swing and enjoy a wonderful slice of Southern India. Rooms are absolutely spotless and blissfully quiet. Gopal is passionate about his home, its surrounding farms and its history. He's a wealth of information and... More

I stayed with a group of friends for 2 nights in November. The Nair family treated us like royalty and made us feel completely at home; the food was wonderful. Gopal was a fabulous host and a wealth of information. Despite being on a well-travelled waterway it was peaceful and totally relaxing.

After travelling around India for four weeks, it was pure bliss to stay at Ayana's in the beautiful backwaters of Kerala. The Nair family was so welcoming and we ate such wonderful food (paying to have meals included is highly recommended). We stayed in a villa on our own, which offered a nice amount of privacy. The high-speed fans mustered... More

We had a fantastic time here at Ayana's homestay for one night as part of an intrepid tour of south india. The rooms were spacious and clean, not to mention equipped with the most magnificent backyard I've ever seen! We were fed till we burst with amazing Kerelan food and given plenty of time to relax and admire our surroundings!... More

I was recomended this home stay by a friend and it lived up to his description Mr Grupal and his wife were very welcoming. The location is peaceful and away from the hassle of the normal tourist spots it is worth effort to get here. The tour of the local village was very informative with a nice boat ride back.
