We stayed here for 2 nights and on the second night we were the only guests. We liked the tents and enjoyed being in the forest. The lodge is very conviently situated for the chimp tracking. The staff were friendly and although the food is not of the highest quality we had no complaints.

The lodge is very conveniently located a five minute walk away from the start of chimp tracking in Kibale forest. Also convenient to the Bigodi Swamp which is excellent for birdwatching. Rooms are clean but dark, and a little tired with holes in linen/ rugs, etc. Still very comfortable though. Food is ok. Primary reason to stay here is proximity... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and very much enjoyed our stay. The lodge is located in the middle of the forest with monkeys and other animals all around. It is perfectly located to go for a chimp tracking. The tent was nicely furnished and the bath rooms are nicely decorated. The food was excellent, the staff was very friendly.... More

We have visited a lot of wonderful safari lodges in Uganda, but Primate was not one of the best. The tented accommondation was ok, nice decorated inmid of the rainforest. The central boma wasn´t in nice condition (the meals were not nicely prepared - the kitchen was open to the guestroom and didn´t offered a nice ambiance. Breakfast ok -... More

We spent 4 nights here in July 2011. We stayed in a tent. The tents are beautifully appointed and spacious. Our tent has two small double beds. The lighting inside the tent is nice and bright and the bathroom is nice. The only downside is the water pressure for the shower shich is little more than a trickle. Each tent... More

We have stayed two nights in this lodge (25+26/09/2011) after leaving Kampala city . We have spent the nights in a cottage close to the main buildings and our neighbours spent the nights in a two floor cottage with terrace near the bush . Staying in the forest cottage is an experience and standard facilities are available and comply with... More

The Primate Lodge in Kibale Forest National Park is an eco-lodge. It is surrounded by tropical forest that is home to 13 different species of primates, including the chimpanzees....We heard them walking to and fro near our hut during the night ... It was a truly authentic jungle experience! There are tree houses available, unfortunatly they were fully booked, but... More

During my stay at Primate lodge I was accommodated in luxury tent however I wouldn’t call it tent. It’s more likely a house with walls made of fabric on a wooden sole that is a bit elevated above the ground and straw roof covering all of this. At the back of the tent there is a wooden part with bathroom... More

I love sleeping in a rainforest, and this was one of the prettiest and most comfortable ways I've done this. We stayed in the luxury tent - really a massive tent with an en-suite bathroom, on a wooden platform and under a roof. In front of the tent there are small chairs, where you can just sit and listen to... More

While the setting is nice, the price is way too high for what you get in the cottages. There is no water pressure and things are very jury-rigged, tending to break or fall off the wall. The bathroom floor is rough stone; the shower drains all over the floor (no plan for gravity helping drainage), and so is always wet.... More
