My Fiance and I stayed here in mid June and it was near perfect. Upon arriving the inn keepers were very friendly and more than willing to allow us to check in early due to our early arrival. Upon entering our room I was very please to find an updated nice and simple room. I checked out the bathroom and... More

I rode the train in, so crossing the street to the Glacier Highland was a good start. The room was just being cleaned at 8:15 am so I only had to wait a half hour to move in. Breakfast at the affiliated cafe on Hwy 2 was pretty good, basic 2 eggs over easy with hashbrowns and toast and everything... More

We stayed in Whitefish the 1st night of our visit to Glacier National Park and called to reserve a room closer to the Park for the 2nd night. When my daughter called Glacier Highland, the desk clerk asked whether she wanted the upgraded room. What does the upgrade consist of asked my daughter? The reply: flat screen TV and insulation... We weren't expecting luxury when we recently visited Glacier National Park. I read the differing reviews and decided that we'd enjoy staying at this lodge. All of the hotels and lodges are on the railroad tracks so to say it is noisy makes no sense as a complaint. Although it was in the 80s when we were there the rooms... More

My daughter and I stayed her for three nights during a trip to Glacier National Park. We stayed in one of the attached "log cabin" rooms up on the hill behind the restaurant. The room was simple and clean, with a rustic Montana look. And it was LARGE, which was nice. Since the weather wasn't hot, the lack of AC... More

OK, that's it in a nutshell, except to note that the 19 inch TV is high up on a wall where you can't see it very well. Clean, yes, VERY basic accommodations. No problem for half the price.

We just finished a 2 week roadtrip through western Montana with several days at Glacier National Park. At the time I made the reservation all I could get was the Glacier Highland Resort. I took it because it was close to the western entrance. Not much to look at. We stayed in a room on the second floor that we... More

We stayed here on a recent trip to GNP. The rooms were spacious and clean as well as recently remodeled. They were very comfortable. No air conditioning but ceiling fan and opened window at night required a blanket to stay warm. Restaurant has great food and friendly staff. I would stay here again and it is very convenient to West... More

We expected rustic but not clanging trains and highway traffic all night. There is no air conditioning and it was hot so we had to leave the windows open. There was a noisy fan that did help with noise so if you had to stay there count on that. Nothing is nice and there is no concern for guests comfort.... More

All of West Glacier is close by a busy highway and a busy railway. That can't be helped. But for $112 a night for a very basic room--no AC, no clock, no chairs, ice across the road--at least there should be good ventilation. Our room on the hot west side of the building did have 2 screens and a couple... More
