We stayed at the Summit Inn and Resort last weekend as part of a trip to Falling Waters and Kentuck Knob, the Frank Lloyd Wright designed properties in this area. The Inn is on the crest of a hill (or mountain, depending on your view of mountains) just east of Union Town, PA and has tremendous views if you get... More

I write this from the verandah of the hotel, watching the sun rise over an amazing vista. We are staying here during our pilgrimage to Fallingwater. This place is a beautifully preserved 1907 hotel. The lobby is filled with art glass lamps and original (I think) Arts & Crafts furniture. Dinner last night was wonderful. Anyone who criticizes it for... More

my husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for a trip to the Frank Lloyd Wright houses nearby. It was like a trip back in time (in a very good way). Lovely old-fashioned hotel, great service, interesting historical displays - but also comfortable rooms (with great beds) and good food in the restaurant. We'd love to return.

We stayed at the Summit Inn after touring Fallingwater. We absolutely loved the inn itself. It really brings you back to a different time. We explored every nook and cranny and admired all of the period details. We also loved the peaceful main lobby and spent a few hours in chairs by the fire, reading and relaxing. We arrived too... We manage to get to the Summit Inn for a weekend almost every year. Yeah, the steps to your room can be a hassle, but it is so worth it. The rooms are a little out of date but the views are awesome and the place just oozes history and nostalgia. The restaurant has always been terrific and the staff... More

Friendly staff and the people in the front desk are friendly and very help full for any issue. We really enjoyed our stay at the Submitt Inn. Also the Pancake House was a really good place to eat any meal at. Also the Korean ladie was especially nice to our family. We had so much fun in the wonderful sno... More

I went here on a girl's weekend to see Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. The Inn was very cozy and historic. I was a little concerned about some reviews I read before saying it need to be updated, and even tried to find other accomadations but I'm glad I didn't after all. It was a lovely stay and I had all... More

If you are looking for a well-appointed icon of history to surround yourself in times when luxury and nature were highly valued, then the Historic Summit Inn is where you must be. As you enter, you are invited by the wafting aroma of a beautifully crackling fireplace, the open grand staircase w/Frank-Lloyd-Wright-ish banisters and stained glass windows, and a main... More

I can only write a review on the restaurant and service and say it was very good. We were a group of 15 from a tour group who had reservations to dine there. They offered us a very nice buffet of 3 entree items. salads, nice sides and very good home made desserts. The food was tasty and very fresh.... More

This hotel and staff far exceeded my expectations. It was everything I had hoped for: the wonderful historic inn! It had been my dream to stay here since I was a teen. Coming home to PA for a week of sight-seeing with my husband meant 'give it a try'. We had a king room with a view (of Uniontown PA,... More
