So first and foremost, this is your typical convention center hotel of overwhelming size, so if you're looking for intimate, I would recommend this particular Marriott. There are certainly lots of reasons to stay here though: -Location: very centrally located, basically connected to the convention center, across from Reading Terminal and steps from great restaurants (especially those in Chinatown) -Parking:... For a downtown convention hotel this Marriott has not lost the personal touch. The taxi rate to downtown from the airport is a flat $28.50 and when you get there, you are certainly in the heart of downtown. The hotel is attached by bridge to the Pennsylvania Convention Center and the Reading Market. Both are worth a visit since they... More

Terrific people throughout the hotel, could not have been nicer. Great location for being a tourist. Short ride in taxi if coming by Amtrak. Very clean and well appointed. Far less expensive than NYC hotels for quality of the hotel. Those are all very good. The drawbacks were expensive WiFi for reasons I don't understand. The bed mattress was not... More

Stayed at this hotel for six nights...and would definitely return. It's located within walking distance of all the historical sights, and within a mile and a half of the Art Museum (with the steps Rocky ran...and so did I). Plenty of restaurants around with tons of choices. Room was comfortable in typical Marriott style.(they don't vacuum under the tables or... More

The Marriott is a very large hotel located pretty much in the middle of downtown Philadelphia. It's right next to the convention center so expect to have participants roaming throughout the hotel. Although this is a large hotel (it occupies two buildings) the staff do a very good job of making sure you feel welcome and appreciated. Counter staff, servers,... More

Stayed here 5/13/12- 5/18/12. My husband was here for work and I came along to see the sites. Taxi from airport was $28, and less than 30 minutes. Arrived at 2:30 pm, check in begins at 4pm. Were able to pre-register and then were called on cell phone when room was ready at about 3:15 pm. Stayed in room 820... More

I stayed here recently for a trade show and for the most part was very pleased. Pros: 1. Excellent location for the convention center. You can get there without going outside since the Marriott is connected via the second floor of Reading Terminal Market. This made the location perfect for getting to and from the show without having to worry... More

This is a very nice property. I stayed in the Headhouse Tower which is extremely close to the convention center. The room was very spacious. The comfortable bed had amazingly soft sheets. I was really impressed with the staff...each and every one was friendly, helpful and very engaged in their jobs. I had room service several times and the food... More

Room: I found the room to be very good, with a very comortable bed and ample space. I had a corner King bed room with a fairly large window; I'm not sure how other rooms in the property differ. The bathroom was spacious and of a slightly above average quality. Having to pay for internet access is always annoying (and... More

If you stay, choose a room in the HeadHouse tower. This adaptive reuse of a classic old railroad building really works well. Built in 1893, and listed in the National Register of Historic places, this structure was renovated by Marriott with considerable financial assistance from the city and under pressure to maintain it's many unique features, including large windows and...
