We didn't come at the most optimal time----Memorial Day week 2012. We had 6 inches of snow accumulation over night (maybe more) and the weather made exploring the lake somewhat difficult. However, we were treated to some periods where the fog lifted, the sun shown through, and the prize of southern Oregon was revealed in all it's magnificence. There have... More

This historic lodge has been recently renovated, and the results are spectacular. The lodge sits on the rim of beautiful Crater Lake. The lodge itself is very inviting, with two large fireplaces, one in the lobby and one in the great room. The great room has ample seating for leisurely afternoons and evenings spent reading, chatting with friends, or playing... More

What a place. This lodge is beautiful, much like Yellowstone and other National Park lodges. It has a massive appearence to it, from the lobby to the dining area. Several huge fireplaces makes it so inviting especially after spending a day out in the cold. We were lucky to have a room overlooking the lake. That was breathtaking. The room... More

Historic lodge has been renovated very nicely. Stunning location with nice rooms. We could take a bath with a view :-) Dining room in the hotel itself was VERY good. Only disadvantage was the friendliness of the receptionist but maybe she had a bad day.. As such, I certainly recommend this lodge.

The location of this lodge can't be beat- you are literally on the rim of Crater Lake. My wife and I went in October which I wouldn't necessarily recommend- it was very cold and foggy so we could only grab a few glimpses of the lake itself. The lodge was really nice though, especially by National Park standards. Our room... More

I cannot believe this is a national park lodge! It is just lovely! The room we stayed in was comfortable but simple. The bathroom was also very basic. However that is more than adequate since you aren't there for the room anyway. You will be perfectly comfortable here unless you are insanely picky/high maintenance. The food is shockingly good. I... We loved the Great Hall - lobby - dining room with its massive stone fireplaces and columns of tree trunks. Breakfast was great but took its time. We were really happy with our room # 213, which allowed us to lie in bed and look out the window at Crater lake. The sunrise was breathtaking and we not even had... More

Crater Lake is the most beautiful lake we ever seen. It worth to go there no matter what. We stayed at Crater Lake Lodge for 4 nights in July. This is the only hotel they have on the Lake. I would say hotel is overpriced. We had very small room with no closet or space were you can put your... More

If you are planning to visit Crater Lake in southern Oregon, make a reservation at this lodge. In fact, plan your trip around the dates for which you can book this lodge! It can be tough to get a reservation here, even in the low season! Because once you arrive at the crater rim and see the views that the... More

Stunningly rude service, very poor quality food, how is it possible to get steak so badly wrong? Ended up with getting food poisoning. They never even bothered to respond to my numerous complaints. Our recommendation - avoid the place.
