Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the staff members that works here is keeping a puppy in there room that barks constantly and making the guest angry. We are trying to relax and sleep. Or just have some good old piece and quiet

So I cannot give this place a four star rating because they don't have a lot of amenities, but what they do have, and what they promised to have, is first rate. I stayed just before Christmas, the place did not have a lot of customers. The rate is what both attracted me, and caused me concern. $25.00 for a night can bring a sketchy result, but in this instance it brought a clean room, with a comfortable bed, a Wi-Fi connection that worked, a shower that provided plenty of hot water, and a safe place to park the car. Breakfast I had at the McDonalds next door, and then it was an easy trip to the National Monument and on to the rest of the adventures. The staff I met was helpful, overall the place was clean and picked up, and one hopes that these folks will continue to provide a level of service that should be enjoyed by many travelers.

This hotel is truly beautiful. It has all you could wish for, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They want you to enjoy every moment whilst staying not only in the hotel but in their Country. There are numerous places to dine, the views are simply stunning and you can meander round the coastal path.

I was looking for something simple and inexpensive during a long road trip and Rodeway Inn accomplished that. It is right off I-10 and there are gas stations, restaurants and a grocery store nearby. A McDonalds shares the same parking lot. I probably only spent 8 hours (most of it sleeping) at the motel and got a $40 rate so I wasn’t expecting much. I got a ground floor room which was right by my car. The room is probably the smallest room I have ever stayed in but it was fine for one person. One of the bathroom lights was out as was the light over the tv. I had an accessible shower which was probably bigger than the standard option but it wasn’t very user friendly. If I had been with anyone else I might have asked to change rooms because of these issues but I just dealt with it. The same employee was there at check in and check out and he was very pleasant. The Rodeway Inn in Wilcox, AZ is definitely a no frills motel. I wanted a convenient and inexpensive place to stop before exploring Chiricahua National Monument and it accomplished that.

Very simple and cheap rooms. Don't wait for anything special for this price. The bathroom has seen better days, but the room was clean and not bad smelling. the woman in the lobby was very friendly and we stayed at least two nights. The bad thing was the wifi didn't work and we got the alternative wifi which works just near the office. We got a room near the office, but the wifi connection was extremly bad. Everything you need is naerby, Safeway, McDonald, Dollar and K-mart. A sign said they are under new ownership.

Rodeway advertises itself as a no frills hotel and that was what we got. After the first night we had to ask for a blanket as there was only a sheet an bed covering on the bed. It was happily provided. We missed having a hair dryer but it was not promised and they forgot to put the shampoo in the room. We were there two nights so no maid service provided. The most troubling was that someone had taken the smoke detector out of the room leaving only the wires. It was clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable. It was a busy week-end in town and other hotels were full, but as I said, it was clean.

I cannot even rate it!!!! It's your worst nightmare hotel! Full of live and dead bugs! It looks like nobody cleaned it for a good while! Under the blanket was a long hair. This place should not even exist!

The rooms are not just no frills, the barely meet the minimum. The first room we were given did not accept the key cards. They moved us to a second room and the maintenance guy tried to replace the batteries for the card reader three times but it did not work. Over 45 minutes later we were still waiting for the situation to be resolved. We were moved to a third room with a promise they would bring us keys. They never did. We were so tired we didn't want to try to argue with the manager to get our money back and leave. We didn't realize until the middle of the night that the toilet in the bathroom did not flush. It was totally non-functional. When we work up, we discovered there were no towels in the room. The room was not clean and it was just a horrible experience all around.

The motel change the name to Rodeway inn. The worst room that I stayed. Dirty room, a lot of insects, flies and mosquito. The room's AC isn't working but the staff told to me it's OK but weak. Outside temperature is comfortable but the room is very hot and uncomfortable. I am sleeping in my car because the room is terrible. I stayed more than 100 hotels in the US. This one is a pretty bad hotel that I met.

The staff was nice ... downhill from there. Original room was left trashed by a pig ... not the property's fault but indicative of the people that stay. My non-smoking room had been smoked in and the blanket had the burns to show it. The bedding was stained and there were hairs on the pillow ... not mine. The bed frame was propped up by phonebooks. The TV connection had to be constantly adjusted to get reception ... on the old TV. The remote control did not work. There was no channel listing. The towels were rough and stained. The cooling/heating unit did not work ... simply blew air. The toilet had stains on the outside of the bowl. The place is actually an old Motel 6 bought by Choice (Rodeway). It wasn't even up to Motel 6 standards. Even the receipt still says Motel 6.
