When I read all the reviews about how terrible this place is when it is full I decided to go midweek and cross my fingers. We went midweek in August and the campground as far as tents goes was only about 10% occupied...we camped in Loop C. Originally I had reserved in Loop D as the online map said a... More

Much staff at the entrance but no one seen on the site. The garbage flew over, No lights at night in the restrooms no (not even cold) showers around/near the campsites, 1 shower house open during the day at the VERY end of the camping and 1 shower house open at night at the entrance. These showers cost extra. No... More

Lake Casitas Water Adventure is a pretty small place compared to other water parks, but it's plenty for the 5 to 11 year-old crowd. One area is like a newer play structure in about 6-12 inches of water. Pretty fun. Then there is a lazy river that flows around and around. You can float in their inner tubes or swim.... More

4 days 3 nights. Wanted to leave after the second night. When we first got there it looked promising, until all the tents started popping up out of nowhere. Litterly 3 per site! Next thing ya know there was herb smoke in the air and people walkng through our site with no regard for privacy or personal space. A drunk... More

We are seasoned campers who moved from the East coast. We camped two nights in our tent in the "C" camping loop. It was packed (I think from the water park) and I was so grateful to have C18 which appeared to be one of the only semi-private sites in the whole place. The rest of the sites on our... More

Was up until 1-2am first night here, as there were groups all around being very loud. We picked up some earplugs for second night so not as bad. Most of the bathrooms around us were gross. There are some nicer bathrooms, but you have to search for them. Probably will avoid going back. My 6 year old daughter loved the... More

We just got back from Lake Casitas and had the time of our lives. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I called the reservation office everyday the week leading up to our stay to try and get a better spot and not once was anyone rude or upset by my calls. The grounds are beautiful. The lake is great... More

Nice facilities. Bathrooms are small (flush toliets) so they tend to get dirty as day goes on...mostly because people are pigs, not the campgrounds fault. Sites are small, so if you are traveling with more than one family, better to pay for the 2nd site, than a 2nd car in a site. We were disappointed that part of the ground... More

We are not campers, but we do enjoy a day out in a beautiful natural setting. Three adults and two children, ages 10 and 13, recently spent the day at Las Casitas picnicking and boating. We found a variety of picnic tables and barbecue pits with nice views of the lake. We chose one on a hill with a panoramic... More

Wasp city. We tried to fish and had so many wasps swarming around our boat, that the fishing experience was a nightmare. We tried just about every spot on the lake and continually had the same experience, even in the middle of the lake. When we docked our boat and mentioned it to the person on duty, he said, "yeah,...
