We booked the Waldorf Astoria for my 40th birthday and an early wedding anniversary as we were told the only place to stay in NYC is the Waldorf, and boy they were right. Not only is it slap bang in the middle of everywhere you would want to go in NY, from the moment we walked through the door we... More

This was a special one off trip to celebrate my husbands 60th, travelling with two friends (25-29 th April - 5 days 4 nights). We booked via expedia, booking superior room, flew with Virgin. The hotel entrance and foyer/ lobby is special and atmospheric and worth a look even if you're not staying there. I was very surprised to be... More

The place was buzzing as I checked in at 1 am. Later I realized its always buzzing like much of New York. The room was comfortable not over the top. The hot water I think ran out by 10 am...though my friend later suggested that thy may not provide as hot as I want to avoid litigations about burnt skin... More

My daughter and I booked 2 nights at the Waldorf for Mother's Day weekend. The Great Gatsby was opening that weekend and as the prices at the Plaza were prohibitive, we figured the iconic Waldorf was an excellent second choice. However, ultimately the hotel reminded me more of Miss Havisham's home from "Great Expectations". In the lobby you experience the... More

Stayed at the Waldorf last weekend and had a pretty terrible experience. From the check-in experience (which took 40 minutes, without even waiting in line) to the room itself to the service, everything that could go wrong did. The hotel looks beautiful from a distance (lovely lobby, beautiful exterior, nice lobby bars) but its a facade. The rooms and the... More

This was my first stay at the Waldorf Astoria and I had pretty high expectations given the history of the hotel. First off, the entrance hall and lobby area are quite a site. Not over-the-top but a classic elegance you'd expect from a classic, art deco hotel. The check-in was pretty packed but efficient. I learned, after I already got... More

This was my family's first time in New York and the Waldorf Astoiria made it everything we hoped it would be and more. My wife and I were initially in a room at the back of the hotel which had noisy air con extractors just below the window. We asked if we could be moved and this was no problem.... More

One of the best places in Manhattan! The staff are very friendly, the room service is awesome and the location is sensacional, besides being a tourist spot of NYC! Its not just like a hotel, the Waldorf is a style!

From the first time our family ever stayed at the Waldorf 30 years ago, we have loved every Gorgeous Suite, the top shelf service, how the staff makes us feel so welcomed, the in room dining experiences (especially Breakfast In Bed), the Lovely Lounge and the most memorable stay being the Royal Suite which there are no words to describe... This is an amazing hotel we visited for our silver wedding anniversary it's such an old iconic building with such history, if only the walls could talk. The staff were so very efficient friendly and experienced nothing was too much trouble they helped with everything airport transfers, excursion tickets, directions etc. The hotel is spotless the room and bathroom were...
