We booked the Salisbury for our week in New York. On arrival check in was very efficient and although we had booked a King size bed suite this was not available but we were given a huge twin bed suite on the 10th floor.Plenty of space to relax after a day sightseeing especially when you are in the room for... The biggest challenge facing families of 5 or more on vacation is the hotel situation : most hotels, due to fire codes, will only host a maximum of 4 people in one room. This forces families with 3 kids or more to choose between a suite and shelling out major coin, or two double rooms which end up being just... More

The Salisbury Hotel was a fabulous choice for our Girl's weekend getaway! We had a HUGE suite with plenty of closet space (can't say that very often about a NYC hotel). We were in walking distance of Central Park, Times Square, 5th Ave shopping and theater district. The Russian tea room is just across the street. In an older building... More

One of the banes of travel to New York is the high price of hotels and the tiny, often tacky accommodation you get for your money. The Salisbury hotel, therefore, was a pleasant surprise. Centrally located (close enough to Central Park to smell the horses, right next to Carnagie Hall, a couple of blocks from MOMA, and a short walk... More

Location, location, location. That's the main rason that everytime we return to New York we stay in the Salisbury. Of course it is a little run-down and some renovation is in order, of course the bathroom is dated, but in the past we have tried other, trendier hotels and everytime we were disappointed in what we got for our money.... We stayed here for 8 nights and were in a 2 bedroom suite. It is an older hotel, but with large comfortable, clean rooms and wonderful service. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You could have a continental breakfast for a very reasonable price or there are plenty of places to buy breakfast and have in the kitchen in... More

We stayed at The Salisbury for 2 nights and on arrival we were pleasantly surprised as we were upgraded to a suite which was huge with a separate lounge/kitchen area. The overall decor of the hotel is a bit dated but the cleanliness of the whole hotel was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location of... More

I stayed here back in September 2009. The location is just right with only a few minutes walk to some New York's most famous locations and attractions, such as Central Park, 5th Avenue & Times Square. Inside for hotel which is an aged building, the rooms and interiors are excellent and with the added bonus for a breakfast buffet included... More

We always stay here when in NY. As members of the 1515 Club we get free nights when we stay 5 or 6 nights. The stay was fine. As stated, this is an old hotel but price is right and frig and microwave come in handy. The one problem we had was perhaps not the hotel's fault..not sure. I could... More

Considering what out of towners would plunk down for a hotel, this one is obviously somewhere in the middle. You get to still be in the heart of midtown, which is great. However, for all the germophobes who break out the blue light for every spec, you may want to look for further accomodations. It has its rough edges, just... More
