I stayed at this hotel while attending a conference in NYC. When I got to my room, the air conditioner was incredibly loud and, probably because of the quick change in weather, there was water on the floor near the air conditioner. I called the front desk and they immediately agreed to change my room. The next thing I knew,... More

This hotel was nice, we enjoyed the location close to Lexington & on 57th. The Lobby is stylish and we thought the staff were great. The rooms, not fancy, but clean, were good, and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were a really good size. We went when hotels in NY were very full, so we didn't really have much... More

I too was a bit hesitant to book at this hotel after all the lukewarm comments. But upon staying there earlier this month, I was quite pleasantly surprised. The rooms were comfortable - not huge (but this is NYC!). They were clean. Well-appointed. The fitness room was great. And the location couldn't be better. I just booked another 3 nights... More

I booked three rooms at the hotel for my brothers wedding in the city. Since they were having a very low maintenance wedding to celebrate their 10th anniversary this location seemed central. Reaching out prior to the hotel for recommendations, Taralyn had some really great ideas to share. I travel a lot, and my expectation is that the staff at... More

Stayed here on a recent overnight on the way to London before moving on to Santorini. Excellent location in upper east side making it a great in town stay for access into and out of the city. Cab ride to theater district and Hell's Kitchen was not too bad (just a traffic issue, not really the location). It's definitely an... More

After reading the mixed reviews here, I was slightly nervous about booking, but I was only staying one night, so I did it. I'm glad I did. Stayed over Sunday night and enjoyed it overall. Would stay here if rate is sub $200. PROS: --while many reviewers complained about the room size, I found my Superior King quite adequate. I... More

The boutique is equivalent to old and cramped in this hotel. Cons Lot's of wood in the rooms which show its' signs of age, the rooms are really on the smallish side even for New York City, no mini bar. The food is somewhere between mediocre and just bad, no real flavour. Breakfast to order is slow, there is no... More

After staying at the East Side Marriott, the Marquis and the NY Hilton many times, I decided to try this property for a Sunday night stay. The location is incredible, within walking distance of almost everything, 2 blks from Bloomies and a 15 min walk to Rockefeller Center. I was upgraded to a Jr suite which had a huge flat... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night and wish we could have stayed longer. First of all the staff was very accomodating. This hotel is in a great neighborhood and is convenient to so many things. We walked to Radio City Music Hall, Bloomingdale's, Madison Ave. shopping just to name a few. We were very pleased with our room... More

My wife and I stayed in Renaissance 57 hotel for 2 night in April. Overall, we did not like our stay there. Perhaps, we should have had lower expectations of this hotel, but we just thought it'll be as advertised on Marriott's web sites - nice and cozy boutique NYC hotel. Location - perhaps, the only good thing we can... More
