When we come to New York, we usually stay in the Upper West Side. We stayed here this time because family was also in the city and they were staying here. I couldn't get over the cost of this hotel.. so affordable for the city. The rooms are quite cute... love the hardwood floors! The walls are quite thin, but... More

Whenever I stay in NYC, I usually get a hotel across or near Central Park. Never agin! I would definitely stay at the East Village Hotel on my next trip. I don't know why someone complained being too far away to events. It was easy to take the subway everywhere we went! The neighborhood was WONDERFUL!! And so many excellent... More

4 of us stayed at this hotel for a week just last month (in March): two of use were on the 4th floor and the other 2 were in the room directly below ours. We took a cab from LGA and it was easy to find once we got into the city. Someone was actually at the front desk when... More

Ok, the rooms looks good, its all brand new, but it is way too noisy, not outside mainly but you can hear everything in the rooms next to yours, walls are made of cardboard! The location is also not ideal at all, you will need to take transportation to all good sites you want to visit. If I had to... More

My fiancee and I went stayed 4 nights in July 2012. We were really excited to have found such a great deal in Manhattan for such a new and great looking hotel. The idea of a self-check-in didn't phase me at the time that I booked the hotel. However, when we arrived, we found out that it would be the... More

Stayed from December 13th-December 18th, booked via BOOKIT.COM. Got a great deal and was HAPPILY surprised. Nice apartment conversions into what they now are calling "smart apartments" (hotel rooms with full kitchens). Located on 9th street and 1st Ave in the heart of the "East Village" food GALORE around every corner that WILL NOT break your wallet. Easy subway access... More

I was very excited to find a "nice" new hotel in the East Village, conveniently located near family. I made my reservation on Bookit.com. It appears this is the only way to book at this hotel, since I could not even find a website for them. Had all my paperwork and confirmation numbers with me, punched in the door code... More

My daughter lives in East Village so I found this convenient. But there was no hot water in the morning or al night....and it's winter in NY right now. It's a noisy neighborhood and you can hear everything, plus the people in rooms above (no carpets). This is not a cheap hotel...considering the inconveniences.

Our daughter lives in the East Village, so this hotel is quite convenient. Rooms are nice (NY small), well appointed, very clean, good shower, free WiFi, etc, a fair value in NY. We had a corner room, nice, but the street noise woke us up several times each night. The mattresses need to be turned, or replace. Also, there is... More

This was a great stay for my first time trip to NY. A very innovative, self sustaining way to travel and lodge. We were emailed the check-in info, and all necessary codes. Arrived a little early, called the number at the lobby, and someone came over to let us put our luggage in the room while we roamed around till... More
