I stayed at the Bowery House and upon entering was impressed with its cool vibe. Obviously the price point is its main selling point.... $80 a night so it didnt break the bank and allowed me to use that for shopping and dining. Its location is good too. Not far from SOHO, a couple subway lines and the East Village.... More

It's the worts hostel I've ever seen: noisy, dirty and expensive. very expensive! the staff only care about your money, they tray to take from you more money they can. If you ask them something they feel disturbed and bothered. The position is not so good since it is always loud and dirty. If you ask me an opinion, this... More

Marco: I must admit I am very surprised to read your review. The worst place in Manhattan? That is an awfully bold proclamation. We aspire to be the best place in Manhattan, especially when you consider the price, location, rooftop and amenities. We are one of the cheapest lodging options in Manhattan, let alone the fact we are in SoHo.... More

If you're used to hostals and don't mind sharing bathrooms is ok. Service personal are very nice, helpful and profesional. Very clean, good style hotel. Problem is the cabins size, its ok to sleep, but its very small. But for 80 dollars i guess is not that bad. Just know that the individual rooms, are cabins, which are a small... More

It is new. It is clean. It has some flashes of design (of the decor side) brilliance. None of that could counterbalance the sheer creepiness, danger and inconvenience of a stay. Once I was admitted into the locked building with my huge suitcase, with an impersonal buzzer, I was presented with the vertical challenge of getting myself and my luggage... More

This was my 2nd stay at the bowery house, great to see how it has come along. For the prices they charge I have not found anything coming anywhere close to the value you get from staying here. Yes, the rooms are small, yes, they don't have more than lattice work for a ceiling, yes, most rooms don't have a... More

For location and price, this place can't be beat. It's in the Bowery which is a vibrant area with a good few bars and restaurants nearby. Just 5 minutes walk up the road is the subway. Contrary to what some people have said, I always felt safe here even when coming home at night. If you like you can walk... More

I think the place should advertise quite clearly that although you have a single room to yourself that you are actually sharing with everyone on that floor BECAUSE there is no ceiling to any of the rooms!!! Hardly slept during my stay due to constant noice from the other guests. Will most definitely not be staying here again!!!

The beds were some of the most comfortable I've ever slept in, including in posh hotels. Friendly staff. Noise was not a problem for me, but may well be for others. It does feel dorm-like in the twin rooms, of course. Mirrors in the rooms wouldn't take up room and might reduce congestion in the bathrooms.

Tiny, very cosy and the showers arenot at the same floor as the rooms [for women anyway] but there's wi-fi and it's clean and the staff are REALLLLLLY nice and helpful and it's so cheap considering it is located in a comfortable place in NYC so I will surely be back there when I will come to NY again :)...
