I can't say enough good things about Mount Morris House - but let me try. Two friends and I met in New York April 26-May 5 for our semi-annual girls' week. Mount Morris House is a beutiful brownstone in a gorgeous area. We had the Terracotta Suite, which looked across the street at Marcus Garvey Park. The woodwork and finishes... More

If you are looking for a different perspective of NYC this Inn is the perfect choice. Stepping into the house takes guests back to the late 1800s when it was built. The owner, Dimitri is charming, helpful and happy to share his knowledge of the history his home and neighborhood. We stayed in the Sage room which is massive by... More

We began looking for somewhere to stay in NYC, but the hotels were all really expensive, so we decided to look slightly further afield and looked at Apartments etc, and we came across Mount Morris House! It looked amazing and when we read the reviews on Trip Advisor we were in no doubt that this was the place for us.... More

The rooms are spacious and inviting. Great old Brownstone We felt totally safe In South Harlem . This was our second stay and will stay again. Weekends fill up fast. Very reasonable. Their delicious breakfast has been discontinued - sad.

We booked our stay at Mount Morris House purely as a result of the positive comments here on tripadvisor. We have been to New York several times and have previously stayed in large hotels in midtown. This time we wanted to experience a different part of the city and looked for a more intimate place to stay. What a good... More

This is a wonderful, peaceful, gentle place to stay. We first had a six day stay, and after two days in an appalling apartment, we fled back for another nine nights to the comfort of Mount Morris House. The owners took a great deal of trouble to accommodate us, and to make us welcome once more. They are courteous, responsive,... More

I found Mount Morris House online and just took a chance that it was all it seemed to be for my first trip to NYC. I was lucky! The house is authentic and charming. My room had all the spacious, comfortable and clean qualities that are hard to find in a big city hotel. It was fun to explore the... More

We selected Mount Morris house for our first visit to New York because we wanted somewhere spacious and quiet to go home to after a busy day in NY. We were not disappointed , the bedroom and bathroom were very large, clean and comfortable and there was very little noise at night so we slept well. Mount Morris is about 5... More

We have just spent a very comfortable, relaxing 8 nights at this wonderful boutique hotel. It's described as a bed and breakfast but it no longer serves breakfast. Guests can use the well equipped kitchen which always seemed to be stocked with complimentary chocolates, brownies and cake. Departing guests seem to leave leftover alcohol for enjoyment by other guests. We... More

My daughter spent 5 days at this lovely B&B. Vasili was very welcoming and helpful. The house is beautiful and our room was luxurious. I will recommend this B&B to everybody I know and try to make it back soon myself. Anne-Mette Ibsen
