To be honest, the last hotel we chose in NYC was off of Times Square and we were SO disappointed. Unbelievable small, dirty, old...yuck. We chose Hotel East Houston b/c it was in an aread we had never stayed, great price, and had a rooftop terrace. The day and night was clear and I'm telling you what....it has the best... More

We found this hotel perfect for what we were looking for in NY. First, it's located in Downtown Manhattan, close to the hippest neighborhoods: Lower east side, East village, Nolita and Soho. That means you're within a walking distance to all the restaurants, bars and stores in those areas. The Subway station is just across the street so it's also... More

been staying for one night only, and choose the hotel for its reviews and location close to prince street and local shops the hotel is very clean, you'll be disappointed though if you expect the lounge style and ground floor design to be similar in the rooms. rooms are clean and fairly simple, but they are clean and quiet. wifi... Booked this hotel because the reviews online aren't too bad and it was amongst the cheaper 3+ stars ones in manhattan, although it was the most expensive hotel in our US trip. There's a F line subway exit on the right of the hotel, M15 bus is nearby too and it can take you to several sights. WHOLE FOOD MARKET... More

Room is clean but very very small. No luggage rack or stand. Our was "one of the larger rooms" Seriously? LOL Great location and wonderful and accommodating staff. Close to Katz deli and the Clinton Street Bakery Cafe. Two landmark eateries! Hotel smelled sour as if someone was cooking cabbage, but husband thought it might be a gas smell. At... More

It took forever for me to decide on a hotel for my recent trip to New York city. After finding Hotel East Houston, took a chance on it and I'm so happy I did. First off the location is cool. The Lower East side had a lot of interesting restaurants and bars all close to the hotel. And there is... More

Just got back from a NYC shopping girls weekend. When we selected a hotel we wanted one that was close to Soho but also budget friendly. We found queen rooms at Hotel East Houston for $180. An incredible value for that area and quality of hotel. I actually was a bit hesitant as I thought it was too good to... More

We have always stayed in the UWS whenever visiting NY and this time around we thought we'd stay in the East Village/SoHo. After looking for hotels left and right, we settled for HEH because of the reviews its gotten, and the price (of course) couldn't be beat! It was easy to expect what was already mentioned in the reviews -... More

I stayed here with my Mum on our first trip to New York. It was easy to find when we arrived on the subway from the airport. It had a good location as some important points of interest were in walking distance (Broadway, Wall Street, Ground Zero and Battery Park) and for those that weren't, the hotel was close to... More
