In short, this was the worst of several Super 8 Motels we stayed at during this trip, some of the others were very good to excellent. This property is very neglected, and looks like no money has been spent on upkeep for a long time.

we stayed the 20th and 21st of april with another couple we were vacationing with. no complaints about anything. staff was friendly and helpfull. room was clean. i see a lot of people whine a lot about rooms. maybe they whine about everything in their life.

Staff was friendly and room was clean. Breakfast was decent. There are no budget priced hotels in Carlsbad, only budget quality.
