staff was very nice and it's probably the only thing I liked about this hotel. The room is clean but not great and the hotel, built in 2000, feels as if it had been built in the 70s and never renovated. The hotel has no elevators. The tv remote and the tv were terrible. Breakfast was terrible.

My family and I stayed two nights and were very pleased with the facilities, staff, and complimentary breakfast. They have some Internet deals if you search and can get a room for about $50 cheaper than the bigger chains.

We stayed for two nights in February 2012. We found the place to be very accommodating and clean. The hotel was easy to find. Our daughter enjoyed the indoor swimming pool in the evening. We found it a very good value. No complaints or concerns. The staff were very accommodating.

We stayed in October after our visit to the caverns. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. It was nothing fancy, but it was a good value for this tourist town. It is farther from the caverns than most of the motel/ hotels but very convenient for the living desert zoo. I would stay here again if traveling to Carlsbad.
