My wife and throughly enjoyed our visit to the Torrey Schoolhouse B&B. Ty was very accommodating in changing our room reservation type, and a gracious host. The overall feeling when you arrive after a days drive is, ahhhh... A quiet sanctuary. This is a quality establishment, from the rooms, bedding, cleanliness, and the breakfast is wonderful ! Will stay again.

Torrey is the perfect stop for visiting Capitol Reef NP, and this B&B renders the stay even more special. The host is very friendly and prepares very good breakfasts with a different touch every day. You can get a discount without it, but you should give it a try, it comes easily in first quartile of all I had in... More

This is a old 3 story school house located at the gateway to Capital Reef National Park in Torrey, Utah. This completely rebuilt 1916 school house has all the amenities of comfort and views of the surrounding country side. The school has a great history of pioneer Mormon settlers, Saturday night dances and photographs of a bygone life in this... More

Our family stayed in the Torrey Schoolhouse B&B Inn last week for three nights while visiting Capitol Reef National Park and surrounding area. This B&B Inn is a converted three story red rock schoolhouse. It was an extraordinary experience. We had this huge school to ourselves - the booking company accepted our reservation even though the B&B was going to... More

A great deal of effort went into restoring the schoolhouse as a B&B. Just as much effort goes into making your stay quiet and comfortable. Ty went out of her way to make sure our needs were met. One of the best breakfasts we've ever had, reminded us of Christmas morning!

Ok, so I want to get this out of the way before I start raving about just how awesome this little piece of history turned B&B is. I read some reviews by travelers saying that they were put off by the demeanor of Ty, the owner. I am so confused by these reviews, and SO relieved that I did not... More

We stayed for two nights during our National Parks tour of Utah. It was very quiet and Ty was a wonderful host. What a neat story of a converted old schoolhouse. I wish there had been a TV in the first floor room, I understand with it being ADA room that space is a premuim. I also wish breakfast would... More

We were so impressed by the conversion of an old unused building into a delightfully decorated B&B. The grounds are beautiful and welcome a walk and seating areas for reading or just relaxing. Ty, the innkeeper, is very welcoming and a marvelous, inventive cook, choosing fruit from her garden or fresh organic food from a nearby neighbor. Don't miss this... More

Just one clarification: all the fruits (except the grapes) and veggies we put in the breakfasts come either from my own fruit trees, my large greenhouse (located on the north end of the property) or from our local farmers' market where I can purchase from our county's organic farm in Caineville. After reading about the Torrey Schoolhouse in Budget Travel, I thought it would be worth a look on our way home from Yellowstone National Park. What a find! The Schoolhouse building and grounds have been beautifully and meticulously restored. There are some old photographs displayed around the house, making the transformation seem even more amazing when you see what they... More

The schoolhouse has been lovingly and beautifully renovated, and the grounds are wonderfully landscaped. The B&B is a great place to stay and relax while visiting Capitol Reef National Park. Ty is a welcoming and friendly owner, and makes tasty organic breakfasts. We thought the rooms were lovely as well.
