Don't be deceived - you don't stay in a chuckwagon, just a normal motel room. But a very nice one. Think it was fairly recently refurbished and was spotlessly clean. I have never had a chance to stay in the motel, I have used the store a number of times. The family who owns the place are great friendly people. It is nice to have a little store so near Capitol Reef for those who are traveling.

The folks were really nice and the property is very well kept. Most reviews of the hotels and cabins on TA are good, but these rooms over the General Store are best avoided even though they are cheap. Noisy hall and uncomfortable beds. Very small and old. Clean though.

We loved our room clean and modern they have chairs and small table outside so you get a view of the pool, part of town and mountains in the distance. We were on the second floor. This was a great surpise as my expectations were low. The cabin was clean and perfect for family of four. The boys each had their own bed. The general store is cute andconvenient welcome after a long drive.

Nice hotel, very clean. Friendly staf. We ate at cafe Diablo, excellent food. We are staying at this hotel again in 2012!

I had to stay at this hotel just because it was called Austins Chuckwagon!
