We stayed at Howard Johnson's in Torrey, May 11, 12, 13, 2012. I cannot say enough about the kindess of the staff. The proprietor was very helpful. Accomodations were quite nice, clean and good location. Breakfast had a good selection. Howard Johnson has come a long way.

The room was plain and needed updating. The location is good if you are going to the park. I felt like it was an example of you get what you pay for, so for the money, I guess it was a good "Value". The manager was very nice, but it seemed like it was understaffed and he was running a... More

Our room was clean, the mattresses comfortable, the breakfast was adequate and the cleaning service was good. This is a good basic motel for exploring the Capitol Reef area, which we did for three days and had a great time. If you are looking for a resort experience, this is not the place for you. While we were there a... More

This hotel was great! The location is wonderful with views out the windows. The staff is great and always helpful. They even contacted the Days Inn for us to use their washer/dryer while their's was being repaired. Also, they have a different special mini rubber duckie they leave in the room each day. The breakfast was good. It is the... More

Cannot comment upon the hotel, other than we turned up and it was closed. Luckily it was still light so we found an A4 notice, with small type, stuck inside a window. This advised that all bookings had been transferred to the Day's Inn, 2 miles away. If it had been dark we would probably not have seen the sign;... More

We stayed here while visiting the Parks. We had two rooms, one was a pet room as we were traveling with our two small dogs and the other was not a pet room. The pet room was filthy and disgusting! The floor was so dirty, including wet spots, that our dogs did not want to quit sniffing the carpet. I... More

In September we vacationed in the Canyonlands of southern Utah. This was a very nice hotel. Although there was not a pool everything else was perfect. Rooms were like new, nice breakfeast, quite, close to Capitol Reef NP. Note, this is a remote area and not a lot of eating and shopping available.

Daughter and I warmly greeted by "Art", who, as an interest holder of the hotel, was wearing many hats during our one night stay. After checking in, we inquired as to where we could obtain a night time treat of ice cream and were directed to the convenience store/gas station next door. As we walked in, Art came through the... Easily the best hotel I used in a three week trip. Situated about 2 or 3 miles outside of the small town of Torrey, this Hotel is in a secluded position, about a 10 minute drive to Capitol Reef National Park. I was warmly greeted when I walked into reception and given the choice of a room with a good... More

Almost all rooms were full in town, so I felt lucky to get a room at the Howard Johnson in Torrey. It was an upstairs room, and the day had been hot, but the air-conditioning was not working, so the room was very hot. Very difficult to sleep in. The manager said he couldn't do anything about it -- he... More
