We love little Italy area, and we love this hotel, we stay often here since we live in the Desert and it gets really hot in summer time so every time we can we scape to SD. We love the Porto Vista Hotel for two main reasons, first is difficult to find a decent hotel that is pet friendly, and... More

I booked a trip online and they never let me redeem the special. The place was a former Super 8. The walls are thin. Customer service is not something that is in their vocabulary. Stay away.

Dear Trivialpursuits, We are very disappointed to see your HEADLINER listed as SCAM and provide very little information with where you purchased your online booking to determine your restrictions and blackout dates listed on your purchase. We would like to learn more about the offer and your experience at the hotel since you’re specifically mentioning the walls as paper thin... More

Proximity to airport, walking distance to anywhere in the city, Little Italy around the corner, 15 mins to DT, 10 mins to water. As far as hotel goes, we had all we needed during our 5-day stay in SD last summer. Clean, neat, everything works, nice crowd, what else do you need. Nothing fancy, but who need s that in... More

We just spent a weekend at the Porto Vista Hotel. The room was clean, but very small. We were on the first floor and in the future I would request a room on an upper level floor. Our room was also located near the storage room where the maids stocked up their carts so it go a little noisy in... More

I am right now staying at this hotel, i got my booking via Livingsocial. Once I got here they pretended that they cant find my booking even though it was booked on their website. They treat you like a criminal when they find that it is livingsocial offer. This hotel has a motel6 standard but triple their price. Car Park... More

Dear Korush, Thank you taking time in providing a HEADLINER with "Awful, arrogant, waste of money" We are EXTREMELY disappointed to hear of your experience. We would like to hear more about your purchase with Living Social since we have sold 600+ most especially the time and date of when you purchased and redeemed the offer to determine the cause... Don't buy the groupon special!! If I could give no stars I would! I was planning on buying the more expensive option "Valid for check-in on Friday or Saturday." I called to make a reservation for check in on Saturday and stay saturday and sunday night. When I talked to the lady she said "No it's only valid for check... More

Weekend trip with wife and 7-year old. Room 511 on top floor, east wing of hotel. Big room, 2 queen beds, small armoire and dresser. Large bathroom with full bath/shower but only a pedestal sink...no extra countertop was frustrating. Wet bar in room was useless. Included minifridge but no microwave. No pool or spa. PV is perfectly located for Little... More

This hotel is unique to say the least. Located in the centre of Little Italy, and near the Harbour, you get great access on transit, train or car. It is a upscale entrance and lobby, quite area, with parking in the back centre of the property. I was located in the roof top level rooms with access off a sky... More

This is a basic hotel but it is very clean and the staff is EXCEPTIONAL, everyone from the front desk staffer to the maintenance man we asked about the ice machine. Keith even called 10 minutes after we were in our room to check that it was quiet enough for us. The location is wonderful - within easy walking distance... More

Research deals and then ask if hotel can beat what you have found. Try to get full breakfast (not continental which is basically just cereal) Also ask for free drink cards. Ask for Keith at front desk to discuss what kind of room you want. He was very accomodating and pleasant to work with. Ask for the fully renovated deluxe... More
