This is a poor accommodation and i'd only stay here if the other motel was fully booked. Rooms are cramped and the hot water system is funky. The staff are friendly but it appears it is a low revenue producing property and upgrades are hard to come by. Not really a first-world inn.

They have a bar but it's not open thank god because I got to sleep! Unlike the other hotels where you needed ear plugs to get some rest! Stuck here on my way to Gambell, AK due to weather for 3 days. The hotel was alright, you have to understand that you are in Nome, but I wouldn't go back if I wasn't stranded again.

I really love staying at the Nugget Inn. The family who owns and operates the hotel are some of the greatest people you will ever meet. It is a hotel with ambiance. The furnishings and decorations make it a real pleasure. For Iditarod, you can't get a better seat. I will always stay here when I go to Nome.
