My husband and I just got home from a 6 day stay in the San Francisco Bay area to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We paid full price for our room for the two nights we stayed right in San Francisco, and The room was pretty average with the exception of the beautifully soft and comfortable bed and linens. We also... More

Just spent a couple of days here with work and it was very good. Typically a Marriott, somewhat bold and brash but overall a great Hotel. Rooms are large and well appointed, spotlessly clean bathroom which has been maintained (nice to see) Beds are very comfortable with great pillows and cosy bed linen. Coffee making facilities are in the room... More

Nice hotel in a great spot in SF. There are plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and cinemas nearby. There must also be a convention centre nearby judging by the people wandering around with big name badges hanging around their necks. The rooms are what you'd expect from a Marriott hotel - decent rooms with comfy beds and tons of pillows.... More

I have stayed here a few times, but never reviewed on trip advisor. This is a great hotel, especially if you have something going on at the Moscone Convention Center. Rooms are clean and comfortable. WifI is not free, but it works and is a good speed. Hotel is beautiful overall and the gym and pool are outstanding. I frequently... More

Stayed here for a meeting and it could not have been more convenient to Moscone. Metreon is now open and a grat addition to the area. Because I am a Marriott rewards gold or platinum member, I got complementary wireless and concierge lounge access. Otherwise, wireless (faster) access is about $15/day. Would definitely recommend if attending a meeting at Moscone.

Having read previous reviews on this Marriott, I resigned myself to two nights in yet another overpriced hotel with worn furniture, slow wireless, and an overwhelming conference-cattle-call atmosphere. Nothing doing. Marriotts are famous for their good service even when the physical plant leaves a lot to be desired, but here you can have your cake and eat it too. Room... More

Had a tremendous experience there while traveling for business. It's in downtown and right next to all shopping and plenty of dining. The lobby was great and the atmosphere was even better. It did not feel like a Marriott for sure. The service I had was tremendous and the room was huge with a view of the city. The rooftop... More

I stayed at the Marriott Marquis for a conference with several thousand attendees. This was one of the best venues I have been to for a conference, and in fact was so good that I would consider staying there for a vacation as well. The hotel is very well designed, the room was large, airy, clean, and very comfortable. The... More

The Marriott Marquis is a tired property very much in need of substantial renovation. I checked in and found the bathroom to have an overpowering smell of mildew. The ceiling was stained as well. The staff was quite responsive, moving me to another room...with no window to the outside. It was a cave. The rooms have low ceilings and sport... More

This hotel visit was lovely. They upgraded us to a suite on the executive floor. The concierge service was great, especially the advice provided by Alan W. He told us about a few museums that we loved touring.
