Location and lobby are superb. Good breakfast included, in a very comfortable setting. The rooms mix modern design lights and beds with not so modern bathroom, but it's ok. We fully enjoyed our two-days stay there. Its restaurant, as well as its cocktail bar, seems to be a trendy place at night. But nothing noisy at all.

My husband and I stayed here from 18 May - 22 May. We were upgraded to a Suite as we got married in Vegas a few days before arriving in San Francisco. It was unexpected, but greatly appreciated. Our room was extremely clean and very comfortable. The only complaint I have is the very dodgy wi-fi. So if you are... More

Reception staff were excellent- our room was upgraded and they were very friendly. Bar was excellent- recommend the Mojitos - restaurant served good food- prices comparable to London. Breakfast was simple but good given the price of the hotel. Attended conference at the Moscone Centre so ideally placed between that and the bars and shops of union square. In essence... More

I have stayed in San Francisco countless times. I have a little group of hotels I usually rotate between but for this particular weekend the prices at my regular places seemed way too high. So I tried a new hotel based on location, price and good reviews. It was called the Crescent at the time of booking, but has now... More

This hotel is very well located and well priced but is let down by a few small things. This review was written a few weeks after it was changed from The Crescent to the Mystic Hotel by Charlie Palmer so the new owners may make some investments and change things. The location is great. It is a block from Union... More

Probably the best feature of this cosy little hotel is its superb location at an incredibly reasonable price! I just couldn't believe it! We were literally within walking distance to the hustle and bustle of Union Square and the cable cars, yet we had a fairly quiet room on one of the top floors. We booked a junior suite, which... .Was not sure what to exactly expect at this reasonably priced hotel but was pleased with the find upon checking into this property a block east of Union Square and several blocks from the entrance to Chinatown. The website description and pictures of the hotel were surprisingly accurate and the front desk staff members were great, especially Tai. The property... More

The best thing about this hotel is the location, it is one block from Union Square and very easy to pop back in and out throughout the day. Considering it is in downtown there was virtually no traffic noise (we were in a Crescent Room 509 overlooking Burritt Street). Yes you can hear the dumpster truck at ridiculous o'clock in... More

This hotel had a wonderful bed to sleep in and the room was extremely clean. With the amount of money we paid for the room, I was suprised we didn't have any hot water. When we called the front desk, we were told they would look into it. We basically had to wait for the water heater to heat the... More

The service at the front desk (Maria) was awesome! We were welcomed with smiles galore and all staff were fantastic. We were upgraded for some reason and the room was great. It was a suite. The large plasma tv was on a huge hinge that could face towards the bed or towards the couch. The bathroom was very elegant and... More
