We booked our holiday via First Choice/Hayes and Jarvis/ATI. You would think the safety of tourists was of paramount importance when choosing the location of the hotel, but no. Our hotels were revealed to us when we arrived in the USA so had absolutely no opportunity to research the hotel/area beforehand and had no idea of what we were walking... More

such a good hotel located close to everything in downtown SF (around 10 min walking to union square) although the neighborhood doesn't look that safe as you can see many homeless ppl around especially at night, it is perfectly safe to walk around even at night.

Really enjoyed my stay two weeks ago at the Renoir Hotel. The Hotel is in a great location 5 minutes waking distance to Union square. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful with a very good knowledge of what to see and do in San Fran. If your looking for a good price... More

We booked in this Hotel on the basis of the relatively good reviews and location. We made absolutely clear at the time of booking that we would need three beds. The booking confirmation included this detail and specified that the room will have a king, a queen and a double bed with which we were happy. We didn't have any... More

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised. We stayed at the Renoir for 8 nights The location is just a short distance from the Powel Street and the shopping centre. It is however just beside the Tenderloin District which we nicknamed the '' twilight zone'' . It is perfectly safe at all hours of the day and night, so don't be... More

I was expecting the worst after reading all the ratings on this hotel. It really was not THAT bad. The elevator was a major issue because it was honestly faster walking up and down the stairs then waiting for the elevator. I think the reason why they won't open up the other elevator is because of the homeless people loitering... More

My husband and I just returned from our stay in San Francisco and we spent three nights at the Renoir Hotel. I read several reviews after booking with the Renoir and was hoping they were wrong. Unfortunately, they were not. The hotel is not to blame for many of the reasons why the hotel gets a poor rating as it... More

couldn't believe the amount of drug dealers/homeless people and general dangerous goings on in the area that the hotel is on the border with and to top it all off witnessing a fatal shooting sort of put a dampner on the holiday would not recommend this hotel for people on their own.or of a nervous disposition. couldn't fault the hotel... We just had a two night stay here and although it was not a high class boutique hotel it certainly wasn't as bad as some I've stayed in. Hotel is quirky (we felt like we had stepped back in time). Room was clean, bed a little rocky and no fridge or tea and coffee facilities were a downfall. Wouldn't recommend... More

I recently took a group to San Francisco. I divided the group in different hotels. My entire group were really happy with Renoir Horel. The staff have an excellent customer service. Bell boys, front desk, sales, and restaurant wow, my respects for the hotel. I conducted a verbal survey from those who stayed at Renoir and there were more good... More
