We stayed at this hotel for three nights mid-week. Pros: -This hotel was clean and reasonably priced. -The room had a small kitchenette with a microwave & fridge. (Walgreens is a few blocks away if you want to stock up on basic munchies.) -Parking was free and public transportation was very convenient, so it's a great hotel if you want... More

I was very disappointed when the online bidding site assigned me to this hotel, which I pictured to be in the middle of nowhere. When I called to request a room with two beds, I was rudely told that this would cost an additional $40. However, when I arrived, we were given a "suite" at no extra charge; this suite... More

For a hotel in San Francisco, this motel is relatively inexpensive, but it is not a bargain. The motel is shabby, with worn carpet and old bathrooms. The manager strangely put up a sign that he was not available at 7:00 am, and this sign was still up at 9:30. Huh? The "breakfast" is trivial. I wonder why Day's Inn... More

We arrived 30 min earlier than expected. We asked for check-in at 1:30 PM and all the staff said was "Check in is at 2" and nothing else. She could have said differently, could have offered early check-in, or if it was not an option, she could have explained. There is no customer service. Noisy customers on the floor woke... More

We stayed at the Days Inn in the Hayes Valley for two nights. The hotel is right in the middle of a revitalized neighborhood and could not be more perfectly situated. You are only a few blocks walking distance from the famous "Painted Ladies", 15 minutes’ walk to the Market Street train/trolley connector, countless neighborhood bars and restaurants, close to... I liked this place. The Double Decker on the side of the hotel was great for fast food. They had happy hour.

We stayed here for 3. Nights. Hayes Valley is a great location. The motel is clean and there is parking on site. The organization is a little funky - with 4th floor rooms requiring you to climb up to the roof and then climb down a few steps. Our room was on the ground floor level right under the staircase.... Clean and very complete rooms (TV, fridge, microwave, iron). Double room have a good size. Location is nice (near subway, trains and buses) and they have free limited parking. The only problem we had were some noises from pipes near 4th floor.

For the money this is a great little place. It's definitely bare bones and not luxurious, but certainly more than adequate for the money. I stayed here in January 2010 and November 2011, and both times the staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean, the shower water-pressure was strong and the TV gets lots of channels.
