I was told at check-in that I had a room with a great view on the eighth floor. When I asked if it was quiet, the clerk answered that no street-side rooms were quiet. But there's "not quiet" and downright noisy, which this room was, even though it was on or near the top floor: trolley bells, sirens, motorcycles revving... More

Impeccable rooms, service and meals. Staff are friendly and helpful. Although the room was a bit small, we had a view of the bay and the room was absolutely spotless. Housekeeping does a great job. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting S.F. This was a weekend trip to see a S.F. Giants game and it was a treat. Service like... More

The hotel is a charming older property. Every employee we encountered was over-the-top helpful. We ordered room service and within 90 minutes there was a follow up phone call to see if we had enjoyed it. The lobby and restaurant areas were very pleasant and the restaurant was convenient for a quick bite or a cocktail. Our Deluxe View King... More

I just returned from a three night stay @ the Stanford Court and was very pleased with my choice. I was in San Francisco for a wedding and arrived before Noon and I was able to check in and my room was available. The room was an outside room overlooking Pine Street with a view of Powell Street so the... More

Had a delightful two-night stay at this lovely Renaissance property. Service was fantastic. Every employee was friendly, polite, and helpful. They were truly a pleasure. We had one room service meal, and it was quite good. Prompt, cheerful delivery, big portions, and tasty.Yes, the cable cars are noisy (depending where your room is located), but hey, it's San Francisco! Ear... More

I stayed at the Renaissance Stanford Court seven nights and had a great travel experience. All the staff, regardless of their responsibilities, made me feel very special. That meant everything to me as I was in the city to celebrate my birthday, and my stay was a gift from my husband. I shall always remember it.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in April while visiting friends. You wouldn't even know you were staying at a Marriot. The decor of the hotel was eclectic and different. I had to ask to make sure my gift cards would be accepted (they were). The room was nice and comfortable - and while the breakfast the... More

Easy to get to, great views, in a nice neighborhood close to Union Square & Chinatown. Staff was excellent. Bar very nice as well as the food. Get a higher room, not on Powell street - the cable cars are a little noisy on lower floors. I was on floor three, sometimes could feel the rattle. But all part of... More

My hotel rating for this hotel is 4.5 but they don’t have that option and im not ready to give it a full 5. Seldom do I fall in love with hotels, like the Peninsula in Manila or the Park Hyatt or Conrad in Chicago or the Melia in Berlin so whenever that happens, I feel euphoric and the experience... More

Had never been to San Francisco, and booked this hotel based on Trip Advisor ratiings, the location, and the cost, which was the most reasonable I could find in the desired area. The accommodations were even nicer than I expected. Our standard two-bed room, Room 760, was spacious and lovely, and at check-in they made a point of putting us... More
