Good location with friendly staff. Was my first time in USA and i was with some language problems and the polyglot staff help me a lot.

The hostel is very well located (easy access to many of San Francisco's attractions using the public transportation system). The staff is friendly and very helpful! The rooms are spacious and well equiped and the common areas offer a chance to meet other people which is always a good point for a hostel.

We stayed in one of the private rooms with private bathroom for $90 a night. Pretty steep for a hostel, but the room was perfect. Great facilities and the rooms were very clean, staff extremely friendly! (don't stay at the other Hi Hostel by union square you if can, staff were pretty ignorant).

All the staff I came across at the hostel were friendly, knowledgeable and had loads of great info on different things to do/see in the City. This was a great hostel in the middle of a not so great neighborhood. Great room, good bed, very helpful staff. Walking distance to everything. There is also a super good creole restaurant a couple of blocks away.
