Beautiful rooms and a wonderful ambiance in this B&B. Only small complaint is, that as the hosts were on vacation themselves, no breakfast was served. We enjoyed the small yard and especially appreciated the neigbourhood - overfloding with really good restaurants chic boutiques for shopping and inspiration.

We loved this inn. Even though there is no breakfast, the location and privacy is remarkable. We felt like we had our own little paradise. It was incredibly quiet at night too. We walked to cafes and shops in seconds. One complaint. At least make coffee! It is a small convenience that would make a huge difference. I do plan... More

We stayed there two weeks ago. Left it late booking a place in San Francisco. Two couples traveling from New Zealand so booked this at the last moment. I was disappointed with this place. We just had a note left on the front door telling us what room to go to ect. It would of been helpful if we had... More

I had a class and decided not to fight the am Rush. Could not find a place. I called Denise (delightful women). She had a room. I got there it was late. Denise greeted me and I went to bed. The room was private, very clean, unique. The home, courtyard, clean very charming comfortable. I will go back to see... More

I was hesitant to come here, as I noticed the reviews were from so long ago. However, I just stayed here a week or so ago, and it was absolutely wonderful. The only reason for lack of one star is that there is no breakfast. They are upfront about this, but obviously I can't give a perfect B &B score... More

The good things about this B and B are the wonderful beds, the plethora of reading material, the proximity to Fillmore Street and the nice little garden. But, if you choose to stay in the Garden Room of this B and B, be prepared to be part of the family--whether you want to or not. This room is directly underneath... More

September 08 my husband my sister and I stayed at the Artists Inn for a week. We had the garden room which was brilliant for the three of us as there were 2 bedrooms and sufficient space to spread out and relax in. We loved it here. It had a genuine homely feel which was great at the end of... More

My 8 year old daughter and I stayed in the Garden Room for 4 nights in July 2009. It was our last stop before heading home to Sydney after a busy 6 week trip. I paid a little extra to use the loft (another bed seperated from the garden room). Was worth every cent. we were so comfortable and cosy.... More

We stayed at the Artist's Inn for 8 days and stayed in Robert's Room. We loved our room, such a generous size and beautiffuly decorated and arranged. It felt very homely and was lovely to have a sofa to relax and chill out. The bathroom is a great size and a joy to use. In fact we loved the room... More

We stayed at the Artists Inn for one week. Denise and Bill no longer serve breakfast but there were wonderful places to eat within several blocks. We stayed in Robert's Room, but I peeked into Virginia's room and I think I liked that one better. We loved Filmore Street which was a 1/2 block away. Filmore is where the old... More
