I echo earlier reviews about the property. The exterior isn't something that would catch one's attention, but this property was well-located and included free parking, the staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable and clean if not upscale and flashy.

We stayed here for two nights. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The only issue for me was the water pressure and the height of the shower head but I realize that's not that big of a deal and I'm more particular about water pressure than most. This is a great place to stay and close enough to everything. There is a bus stop a block or two away or somewhat walking distance to the Wharf. The beds were very comfortable. The parking is free, which even makes all of this even better. The rates for San Fran were very reasonable.

For the price (with free parking) the Lombard Inn was great. Room was clean and spacious.
