My family and I loved this place. Close to everything, good clean rooms, all right breakfast. Excellent front desk help everytime. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to everyone I know. Tight car parking the only issue but we managed. Get up to the roof on level 3 for evening drinks. A lovely way to finish a day.

Just got back on the 3rd May 2012. Excellent location and value for money. The room we stayed in was a good size, so was the bathroom. Free parking was a plus point. Staff were helpful and friendly. Pastries, fruit and drinks for breakfast put us on until we hit downtown. Would recommend this hotel and even stay there again.... More

There is a string of inexpensive looking hotels on Lombard just west of Van Ness -- we were happy with our choice of the Buena Vista, not least because it has free parking, very good rates, and an excellent location within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf and near several key bus routes. The hotel is in a lovely location very accesible for fishermans wharf and many other areas of SF are easily reached by buses. There is free parking which another plus point. The room was nice and big with a very comfortable bed. True the building was well used but in a very inviting and comfortable way. Very clean and quaint. The location was very convenient and parking in the basement garage was easy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates a good value. Really good coffee and breakfast treats... More

We arrived quite early in the morning and the staff let us park in their parking hotel without any problem. They are very helpful and nice. Very easy check in, and kind staff. The hotel it self is run DOWN, small, and could use a major overhaul. I took my own blow dryer,thank godness because the own in the room was brocken.
